Defense shaft long or short

Ok so im gonna be playing defense this year and my team doesnt have very goood middies or attack so coach said that i could run for a goal whenever i want to. So i can catch on the go and stuff a lot better with a short stick so i was wondering if u guys thought i should play sh ort stick D or just stick it out with long stick D.

Stick with the long pole. You'll have more of a area where you can defend. And chicks dig long sticks.

It depends on your preference. I personally am in the same situation and went with a short pole. It all depends on your style of play.

Defense is the most important part of a team. Having a long pole allows you to play much more effective defense, whether you can take the ball down on fast breaks or not. Stick with the long pole, or just don't play defense.

i have a shaft i cut like 6 inches off of it and im like 5' 10 so its like up to my shoulder now and i have alot better stick contol and and you dont loose alot of defense power really and its alot easier getting up the field

yea i have 2 the one i cut was an stx axe and it was pretty messed up
