Okay I know this is pitful, but I just started stringing a year ago and now I think traditional is hard to string, but How the *#$& did they do the sweet golie pocket(both of `em)!

its practice- i used to not be able to string for **** but now I got hired to string for a company
I used to pay a guy at my local store to restring my stick every month- that was pitiful

i would never use either of those pockets. i feel they are basically just for looks. i can string 12d with one shooter that could perform the same as those.

I can agree with that statement. While I feel that it is not necessary, but fun to put a little style into your stick, you can't go crazy. you just gotta set a limit to those kind of things. Besides, I can't imagine that stick would throw well.

i got a pink stick, and my own pocket tht everyone knows. you dont nedd to go crazy on goalie pockets. if you find something you like, use it, even if it is ridiculously crappy looking.

this pocket looks cool and whatnot, but its a) probly too heavy to maintain relative quickness, and b) the area of mesh isnt big enough for incoming shots to screw up the side stringing. the side string will stretch and whatnot so once it does that, your screwed. but i would think that it would be a lot heavier than a normally strung stick.

It's really not that heavy at all. I don't think I have ever seen one have the stringing screwed up because hard shots or anything either. Basically, the mesh is going to wear before the pocket ever has flaws regarding its actual stringing.
