Yesterday the frosh were supposed to practice with the varsity. Of course we didnt want to and such and then a whole bunch of them skip the practice. I went home sick that day. The head coach was enraged beyond belief. Do you think I am screwed even though I went home sick? Lots and lots of running today is my guess :whyme:

Why don't you talk to your coach?

I think that attitude shown by your frosh and varsity was the wrong idea. They will get what's coming to them. You on the other hand, if your coach knows you were sick, shouldn't be angry with you. You'll still have to do the running, but I always felt a team should be punished together rather than single people out (that whole team unity and everything).

At my school, an attendence sheet is given to all the teachers throughout the day. It shows who came late, who went home early, and who called in sick. Maybe there is something at your school so your coach knows. You should still do the running though.

we do this to. last year one kid forgot to bring out the waterbottles. we would jog a half mile loop to the fields as a warm up. so we do that, get to the fields and findout about the waterbottles. we ALL jog back to get them, then jog back to the practice field, along the half mile loop. needless to say it never happened again.

i think that if by screwed you mean you will have to run alot, then yeah you are screwed. but you are a team, what one person does wrong reflects badly on the whole team. i have a plethora of stories about idiots on our team that we had to do lots of running for. you survive. what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. but when you are doing it, it does suck.

Go to your general office or your nurse and ask them if they can right you a note confirming that you actually went home sick. I don't see how a coach could argue with that.

Well all went well. Some starters might not start 2m now. But the coach was very happy I talked to him. He said how I am one of the leaders out there and everything. Still felt like a jack *** for missing it even tho I was sick. The head coach gave us all a speach and look that gave me chills...

Even though you didn't skip, it would be really good if u still did w/e the punishment is. Make sure ur coach knows that u were sick, but ur still gonna take the punishment b/c you're part of the team. He'll really respect that.

Why would you not want to practice with the varsity? I did last year as a freshman and it was awsome (spell?). I am on varsity now and am a lot better because of it.

Really the whole team is afraid of the head coach you could say. Not only that, we really need to just practice as a team.

first of of:why wouldn't your team wanna practice with the varsity? its a good view of whats to come when they're on varsity!!
second: just tell your coach you went home sick that day and if you can get a note from the nurse saying youy went home sick that day
