View Full Version : What to do in certain situations....
I'm a senior on my team but I'm basically like a player/coach because the real coach doesn't know very much. I basically am in charge of the offense and I recently switched us to a 1-3-2. What I'm wondering is if the opposing team doesn't play the man at x hard and rather just waits for him at the goal, what can I do to take advantage of this situation?

you could simply play the ball behind the net alot. like have you offenders recieve passes behind the net. Also make plays, let me make one off the top of my head. have a wing middie cut in, The man with the ball, mabe X, passes to the cutter, the X cuts in front of the net shoots and scores. my reason for this is because the center D will usualy slide to the cutter because he isnt on a man realy. Leaving one defender between both his man and the X. And the X will easly be able to get the ball and score. See what im saying? you can make lots of passing plays when X is wide open.

Do the ol' draw and dump. Have the X man run like he's going to try and drive around the cage, and when the defense goes to pick him up, have him pass it out to a cutter.
