i was just wondering what you guys' favorite offensive formation. My team is pretty inexperienced, so we try to run the 2-2-2 (creasemen in close) but it doesn't work well, i like the 1-3-2 (starting at crease) but the cycling confuses my teammates. So what are your favorite formations, and what are the pros and cons to them?

we would run a 1-3-2, 1-4-2, or 2-2-2 just based on how the defense reacted to each offense.

i like 1-3-2 b/c you can get the shots that go off net good with 2 behind and i find its easier to find someone to pass to in this formation rather than a 2-2-2

I like the 1-3-2 because if done properly its really easy to get shots off.

We run a 2-3-1, and I think it works really well.
We ran a 2-2-2 in the winter league and I didn't like it very much.

we've been doing inverted offenses so like a 2-4 with 2 middies playing spread off x and 3 attack and 1 middie up top. its insane.

The point, in a settled situation, is to get the ball to X, with cutters to the crease. The five guys not playing X cycle around positions to move the ball.

The most recent one we ran was a 1 2 3, with 1 at x, and 3 at the top of the box... it worked pretty well because there was always a pass...Other then that we run a 222 that doesnt work very well its just a mid sweep, and a 2 3 1 with the mids at the crease picking for the attack man and he cuts out for the quickstick
