It was like five minutes into the 4rth game of this season(yesterday) and i dodged and shot i got clocked by three guys, but i scored and knocked over one of the d poles. i came off the field and a teammate threw me a waterbottle and i tried to catch it and thats when i realized what happened. i wasnt even able to lift my arm up to catch the bottle bc i was in so much pain. my coach had the trainer come over and check me out then i had to go get x-rays. I broke my collar bone and am done for the season. This sucks so bad, and the doc said hes not totaly sure if he will be able to clear me for Top 205, because of how the bone broke.

In the last 45 seconds of our game I took a butt end to the elbow in a groundball fight. I can't move my forearm/elbow/fingers now. It's scary, dunno whats wrong. I def. feel ya though.

That sucks, what's Top 205? While on the subject of pain, SOMEONE SNAPPED A TITAN CLASSIC D POLE ON MY HIP yesterday. I guess it doesn't really hurt that badly I was kinda happy it happened, cause it was with 1 sec. left in the half and I just laughed at him. I'm a rock.

A recruiting camp, usually held at state level, i think. Correct me if im wrong.
Dude, that sucks. One of my friends broke his collorbone on a dive shot, he got destroyed in midair and broke his collerbone. Fortunatly it wasn't too bad so he can start playing in a month or so.

here is what I always tell people who brake somthing (most of em).
At least you broke it doing somthing cool. If some one askes you how you broke it, you wont say like oh I walked into a door, or I tripped on my feet. you can at least say I was playing lacrosse and it would be better, well I dont think that will make you feel better but at least its somthing. more time to read forums!

I'm out too, but my story isn't as exciting. I was running to lay out a mid fielder, and then another D-pole decided to join me, so we instead opted to sandwich. When I walked away, my knee felt weird. Then my parents made me go to the doctor. His words "Your X rays look great! Even though, you might have torn a ligamanet. But probably not. Anyway, you have to wear a knee immobilizer for a week."
Fun stuff.

I had something similar happen to me last year, but it was a slash down my arm that ended at my elbow (slid my elbow pad down my forearm). I dropped my stick and when I went to pick it back up I couldn't grasp it at all. The trainers said I got hit on the nerve and my coach didn't believe them at first and wanted me back in the drill. When I couldn't hold my stick and tried to explain he got pissed and tried to send me home but I stood my ground and wound up having to sit out of practice for the rest of the day except for running.

I broke my collar bone two years ago on a fluke play and tried to come back too soon and rebroke it with almost no contact. The doc then put me on a bone stimulator (a little electrical device that speeds bone growth)and it healed pretty quickly. The insurance may not cover it for you but it is worth asking the doc. Good luck.

I almost broke my collar bone a couple days ago. I took a shot just above my right collar bone and wasn't wearing a throat guard. An inch lower, and it would've probably broken.

I broke my thumb in practice because a d-pole took a shot from the crease and couldn't pick a corner. I sat out one game, went on spring break, got a brace and decided to play through the pain.

I broke my collarbone 2 weeks ago I'm done for the season too. I feel your pain, I got no sleep the first week and painkillers did nothing. Kinda sucks cause it was raining outside so we practiced inside the school gym and I was going for a grounball and got checked into the wall from behind.

Uptempo, when you guys practice indoors your coach allows hitting? that sucks, we only go helmets and gloves when we are inside.

yea he allows hitting. He pretty much lets us go crazy, hitting into the bleachers etc. He told us not to hit eachother into walls right after I got hit. Yea that helps.

we were doing a ground ball drill and i dropped my shoulder to scoop the ball and try an run through the other guy, but he layed me out, and now when ever i move my shoulder it hurts, I'm going to a doctor on monday, i think it might be a mild seperation, but I'm not sure. I hope I'm ok for my next game. It doesn't sound half as bad as some of the other injuries that the rest of you have had.

One of my good friends jumped up for to catch and was hit hard. It looked really bad but he jumped right up and got off the field. Later we went to the ER and found out he broke his shoulder blade.

are you talking about osgood-scolatters desise?
my brother and 2 of my friends have that and they all have to wear braces on their kneen when thay play.
my coach played goalie and tore up both of his knees so bad that he has multipule kadaver(sp?) graphs in both knees. (thats when they take parts from dead people and put them in you)
