whenever i shoot my hands are about half way up the stick and are about 2 feet- 1.5 feet apart. i wind up and shoot sidearm with my d pole. like not real sidearm but not straight overhand. to add power push/pull faster and use your body to rotate more, focus on shot accuracy before power, because i find its harder to take an accurate shot than a fast one when i shoot with my d-pole.

I've scored a number of goals with my pole...
I keep my bottom hand toward the bottom of the stick and top hand a good distance away...I shoot overhand/side (like 30 degrees to the ground)...

like everyone else said, not overhand but not side arm. work w/your stick to find the happy medium

Yeah i know that I cant get any power behind an overhand shot. It just takes too long to get the head around. The ball just goes flying
