"Official" Ball of the MLL

well i remeber last year the MLL have some controversy over them using a new ball half way through the season. They switched to the orange "grippy" ball. If you havent seen them b4 they have little bumps all over them. sorta like golf balls only the bumps stick out. Well i was jsut looking at http://www.bacharach.com/ (great site) and they are sellign 3 packs of the Offical bakll of the MLL, the "Grippy" ball. However last ngith at the Rattlers game a ball flew into the bleachers right next to me. A youger kid grabed it and i saw the ball when he was sitting infront of me. To my suprise it wasnt a grippy ball it was jsut a normal orange ball. I find it kinda weird that they changed out of no where after all the controversy. idk weird :wtf

no, that was a grippy ball trust me. even if you were only 2 feet away from the ball, you wouldn't be able to see the grips. trust me, I own one.

it was defanitly not a grippy ball ive seen them b4 it wasnt one. The grippy ball suposidly adds only like a mph or 2

I meant, I'm sure it was a grippy ball. Try catching a ball at the game, and see if it is regular.

The only reason it wasn't could be weather, or maybe they just ran out, or the grips got worn off.

I doubt they would run out and I'm sure they use new balls each game, so weathering wouldn't really happen. I dun know.

i think they might only use them when teh weather is really crappy out, who knows

The league might supply the balls by flying them to different games straight from Warrior. There could have been a delayed shipment.

i have 33 grippy balls and they are the bomb! even though you cant change much about a lacrosse ball to enhance your level of play. guess the grippy ball hasnt done much good for the Barrage!
