My season has barely even started and i'm already thinking about training during the off season. I'm going to be a junior next year and i realized that once the seniors on my team graduate, there will be no one to set the standards during preseason conditioning, so i want to be the person who sets the standards next year. Also being in better shape will help my game a ton (i'm a defenseman).
I'm going to have a lot of free time this summer (no school or job) so i want to get into good shape for next season. Over the summer I won't have access to any weights. I know most of the basic stuff i can do, such as running distance, sprints, pushups, crunches, wall sits. I'm just wondering if there are any drills you guys can recomend that I can do by myself that would make me a better player on the field in terms of speed, stength, endurane, and also different exercises I can do with out weights so I can have a variety of things to do and things I can do on rainy days (all I have is a treadmill). I want to be in as good shape as I can be coming into next year. Anything you guys can recomend would be great.
