torque....

im thinkin about gettin a torque for my next season. i play middie and next year i will probably play center since our star middie is leavin. ive played around with one but never really played with one. i was wondering what you guys think about that and if u dotn like the torque, what head u would recommend and what kind of shaft i should get with a torque or if i shouhld sitck with my stx c405?

That is exactally what I would say, the only heads I would think of rocking are:
1) Torque
2) Oracle
3) R(evo) Pro

Torque of a DB803 or if you have some spare cash a torque on a liquid metal keep the brands the same they fit better just so happens its the best head and shaft.. we lucked out there

i play with a torque on a warrior CU31.. i LOVE my torque, and all together it seems so light. i used to play with a finalizer and a krytopro in the beginning of the season, and to me.. my torque and CU31 is lighter! get the torque, you will be really satisfied with it, trust me

I have a torque on a KrytoPro and i love it. It has just the right stiffness. If only i had it on a better shaft. I hate my kpro.

I like the torque...just not for faceoffs if you say you will be the center middie (f/o), then I would look for something different.

ive heard good things about facing off with the torque why do u say it is bad for f/o?

I play middie and faceoff.. I understand why he says bad for faceoffs because its a flexible head so if you both clamp your head will flex back agaist and stiff head and you will lose...

But if yo jump the ball my god you can't be beat.. the head when pinched has a sort of arch so when you jump the ball all you need to do is push forward.. if you can picture that if not go get one

def not for faceoffs. I got mine yesterday and well, lets just say it is a little too flexible. I mean it is a great head but because the ball might get stuck in the back of the throat and the head will bend/ pinch over time, I would go with something on the lines of razor, profile, or nitrous.

I use the razor on a brine f55 superlight

I just started doin face offs for my highschool team becus the starting center middie sucked at defence...i like using the razor becus its just great for face-offs, best to use v-shooting string on it cus it gives great backside hold on the ball for faceoffs and it doesnt necessarily gets totally stuck.

Ever since i got the head i havnt scored tho, unlucky head for scoring for me i guess

long story short.. get a torque and jump the ball.. not clamp :-P

well a clamp you keep the bottom of your head on the group while the top moves forward and down over the ball...

in a jump you lift your bottom part of your head over top of the ball and push it forward.. some call it a reverse clamp but it beats a clamp everytime if you can get good at it

if ur doin center(face off) get a finalizer they are the best my friend used to win abt 1/2 of his f/os then he got a finalizer and now he wins like 7/8 at least. Torque is awsome if u aren't doing face off.(I have a torque)
