The newcomers in IL

Well..as all you ILL laxers know, there have been a ton of new programs starting up over the last few years. Teams like Marian Catholic, Lake Zurich, Fenwick, Notre Dame, and Sandburg. Which one do you think is looking the best so far? Last year, Notre Dame was 7-2 and looked really good. This year, Marian is looking the best. What do you all think?

Um Grayslake isn't on the list? Well, discluding us, the next best new team would be... I dunno. All the teams in our conference that aren't lake forest, loyola or libertyville kinda suck.

Fenwick is the best, of course. and marian cathloic is def. not the best. we lost to them by 1 our first game of the season which we def werent ready to play. we play them again and we are pretty confident were gonna beat them. we beat hinsdale central, which was surprisingly bad.

benet academy and hersey are starting up programs for next year. they already have formed teams and are playin games against each other. i reffed one of their games today and hersey didnt look too bad but benet needs alot of work and better coaches

ya but we are an ENTIRELY different team than we were last year (im a current freshman) last year they were just tryin to make the team happen and werent worried so much about winning

I wish we played eachother. I like playing other Catholics but we only had Marian on our schedule this year. I wanted another shot at Loyolas JV. Only lost 3-2 last year. Next year I am pretty sure we are moving up to varsity. Hopefully we wont lose to bad up there.

Well Notre Dame JV team is 1-2. We lost to Deerfield 4-3 in OT and then lost 3-2 to Marian. Both games we were missing our top senior attack. We beat Lake Zurich 6-1. This week we have Schaumburg tommarow and then Evanston on Wed. Im hoping to be 3-2 by the end of this week. I wish we played Fenwick like last year.

We beat Schaumburg 16-3 today. We are really looking good as a team. We play Evanston on Wed then we have the Catholic showdown against Fenwick Friday. I cant wait!

ya but benet sucks major arse. i know their extremely new and have only been playin for under a month, but they need alot of work. they have 2 stoner coaches out of hs who do nothin but yell at them. they have potential to get better but their goin nowhere with their current coaches

ya were movin up next year cuz this is our second year as JV. were gonna get rocked next year cuz were gonna have zero seniors on the team. its gonna be entirely juniors and sophomores. im a freshman this year and thank god i wasnt here for last years season. if im correct u guys are pretty much identical to us program-wise.

The South Suburban teams don't have enough good competition yet to really evaluate yourself against the top shelf North burb teams. Give it 4 or 5 years and then you can compare yourself against them. But from top to bottom your conferences are to weak. Not your fault, just how the program is developing in ILL

Your JV didn't kill us, the final was 7-2. Our problem being that our regular goalie moved to varsity and we are stuck using our back up goalie. My teams actually playing you guys right now but I dislocated some fingers on my hand so I can't play, thus making it even worse for us since we have to throw someone with no experience at crease D, I guess only time will tell.

As for varsity, I don't know what they were doing, there were some issues with injury I know, but I don't know if it was something that would make the whole team just drop in the 2nd half.

Ya, noticed that the Dresser kid was hurt for the second half. We just put our fastest defensemen on Dresser and pretty much made him useless for game. We'll see how it pans out tomorrow when we play your varsity team again.

i didnt read any of this but i think fenwick is gonna be good sometime in the next 5 years. they have a lot of hockey players, who tend to like lax. their freshman team (which i know had at least one or two sophs) looked good against ours even though the final score was pretty lopsided. they also draw from the lt district, which as we all know is the newest hotbed of lacrosse (just kidding all of you without a sense of humor).

ya and we blew out hinsdale central today 8-3. and you dont need to bash us just because you won. at lest be a good sport about it. the entire team blames that loss on the coaches for playin 5th line players after u guys got up by 2 instead of puttin in lines that can score. no one is trash talkin you so u dont need to be runnin ur mouth.

and im a freshman playin up on JV (i have the silver helmet if you remember) and we have 6 more freshman playin up. our frosh team is lookin pretty good and were gonna try to grow the team off the current freshman as we go into varsity next year. the current juniors and seniors have absolutely zero will to play and are just there to be able to swing their sticks at people.

LHS JV lost tonight to Loyola 5-4 in overtime. LHS dominated the 2nd half outshooting them 15-5 in the second half. Their goalie saved the day for them. Loyola is very inconsistent, so you never know what you are going to get out of them.
