No doubt. Cardinals had the best draft this year. 4 Second Round Steals (J.J. Arrington, Daryl Blackstock, Eric Green, Elton Brown)Plus Antrel Rolle, and it isn't over yet.

Holy cow. The Jets drafted a kicker with their first pick. They did however get Justin Miller, the cornerback from Clemson. He runs a 4.4 forty and has a 41 inch vertical leap. They finally got the good CB they always needed.

The Lions already had two talented wideouts with Charles Rogers and Roy Williams, but both (especially Rogers) have had injury problems. They also have Az Hakim, so this pick doesnt make alot of sense, but the Lions will most likely go to alot of 3 WR sets, and put Mike W. in a position to use his height and strength and not have to worry about speed so much.
But in my meaningless opinion your Vikings made the right move. I love the Randy Moss trade because that allowed them to have alot of cap room to sign some very talented defensive free agents, and have an additional first round pick. Troy Williamson is a burner who will stretch the field with his speed and catch the ball very well. They needed someone to help fill in with the production that is gone with Moss, and Williamson could be one heck of a reciever. I think the Vikings are a serious Super Bowl contender this year.

Oh yeah, the Titans needed him after losing Rolle. Rolle was on the downhill part of his career though, and I think that Jones will be as good if not better than him. He's so agressive, so he'll help their run support as well.
I can't wait to see Justin Miller in action for the Jets, he is 5 foot 10 and 200 pounds and still runs a 4.4 forty and has a 41 inch vertical. What an athelete. He also averaged over thirty yards per kick return in college. The Jets had such a horrible secondary last year.

Give them a year or two and they will.
Definitely give that team atleast 2 years. Kerry Collins should have a good season, even though he fumbles so much. He loves to throw the deep ball, so Randy Moss will help him out in that aspect. And Porter's productivity should increase because defenders will now focus on Moss instead of him. Curry will be a good #3 wideout. Lamont Jordan should be a productive running back, he's still pretty young and doesn't have a lot of carries on that body. I also really like the pick of Fabian Washington. They just need to get younger on defense, especially on the defensive line where they have some big name guys but they are getting old and arent producing anymore. This team is on the rise, don't read too much into the "experts'" grading.

Yea I really think they could have still kept Rolle even with their salary cap dump thing. Rolle still has a couple of good years left though, the Ravens (the rich keep getting richer) got such a good deal. Jones should be a great player, even though he looked like Lil' John at the draft lol.
Justin Miller looks really good to me, and the Jets secondary was pretty bad, except for their young safety, I forget his name.

I really dont like the 49'ers drafting Alex Smith. I think they should have traded out of the pick, or selected a running back. Mostly because that team isn't going to get drastically better and they have a very good chance of being the owner of the number one overall pick again next year. Why do I think drafting a quarterback this year and having the overall pick next year is a bad thing? Matt Linehart comes out of school next year. If they do have the top pick next year what are they going to do? He would have easily been the top pick in this year's draft, and they just picked a quarterback so they can't pick another one. Although teams might be looking to get Linehart and be willing to make a good trade with the Niners to move up, I think they could have gone about this in a different way. Matt Linehart and lets just say Ronnie Brown sounds alot better to me than Alex Smith and the number one overall pick. When you whitewash your roster like the Niners did you need to think ahead, and I just dont think that they did.

When he stood up after his name was called I just pictured him yelling "Yeeeeaaaaayuh!"
They say he only gave up one touchdown in the past two years, and that was only because he lost it in the sun, and that in high school he got a technical foul for hanging onto the rim after a dunk. That is pretty crazy for a 5ft 9 guy.
Scrappiness should pay off for him by getting alot of touching and jamming on a reciever, especially within the reinforced 5 yards after the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, I think their best choice might have been to select either Braylon Edwards, Mike Williams, Cedric Benson, or Ronnie Brown, and then bomb the season to get Lienart next year. Then they could have set Lienart up with some weapons to work with.
Edit: Personally I really like Aaron Rodgers too, maybe even more than Alex Smith. Rodger's fundamentals are just perfect.

I think any of those choices would have been good. Braylon should be a great wideout, but I think a season without a talented quarterback would have hurt him, so I would have leaned toward a runner. But in my opinion Benson has too many carries and hits on that body already, and I dont like how he cut his dreds to try to change his image for the scouts, maybe it worked a little because he went ahead of Cadillac Williams, but you have to be who you are.
I think Rodgers will have a good career. Especially now since he gets to learn from Brett Favre. So I think that things worked out perfectly for him, Id much rather learn from arguably one of the best quarterbacks ever then be selected 1st by the worst team in the league. He has better fundamentals, only his release point is a little high for some coaches, and I think Alex Smith has a greater upside with his mobility and his intelligence. But I was really impressed with how everytime they showed Rodgers on draft day he was smiling and talking to people and he shrugged his shoulders while laughing when noone in the top 10 took him, it just didnt seem to bother him.
But the 49ers wouldnt even have to bomb the season to get Leinhart. I really dont think that anyone that they could have selected would have given them enough talent to win more than they did this year. They have pretty much the same team as last year, just some more rookies, a new (but rookie) coach, and a somewhat healthy Julian Peterson.

Smith does seem sort of like a punk to me. Especially when they couldnt get a contract agreed upon with the Niners. He is looking for around a half a million dollars more than Eli Manning's contract. That is insane, Eli was supposed to be the next big thing, Smith isnt. He might not even be the best quarterback in this draft. Smith majored in economics... he should understand that he has some leverage in negotiations but that he isn't all that great to deserve a giant contract. Which is another way that the Packers insanely lucked out. JP Losman was picked 22nd overall last year, and only got about 7.5 million guaranteed, so if you use that as a ruler then the Pack can get Rodgers who could have gone number 1 overall for an extremely low price.

Aaron Rogers will be a bust. His college QB coach was the same one that coached Ryan Leaf, Kyle Boller, and Joey Harrington, all busts/potential busts.
And Pac Man only gave up one TD pass in the last two years? To Big East WRs?
How bout Bryant McFadden... the Steelers got him virtually in the 3rd (late second round) and he's given up NO touchdowns in the past two years... thats against ACC WRs and QBs. PacMan is only rated so much higher because he's got a better 40 time and can return kicks.
Arizona had the best draft, but like I said before... they're still Arizona.
Jets, well they drafted a kicker first which makes absolutely no senes to me. Justin Miller I guess is a steal that late in the second but he got arrested right before the draft which is about the dumbest thing you can do.
The Redskins had a bad draft... don't know why the hell they didn't draft Williams (Santana Moss is their #1 reciever right now). And I really don't know why they drafted Jason Campbell.. they barely had any picks in the draft. Guess what they did with the 3 picks they had left in the late rounds? They drafted TWO fullbacks... TWO FULLBACKS?
There's nothing wrong with Alex Smith at all. The guy has all the tools to be a great QB. He's the smartest QB out of the bunch and he has very good mechanics.

The "Tedford Curse" should be of concern, and I think it was, but maybe Brett Favre will have an impact on this guy.
McFadden was a steal, but the concern about him is speed, which scouts and coaches put too much emphasis on.
The Jets traded their first round pick for a decent TE (which was a mistake I think), and they needed a kicker because O'Brien isn't too good, but that still is too high for a kicker. What did Miller get arrested for?
Carlos Rogers wasnt a bad selection by the Redskins, but 2 fullbacks is just ridiculous. Santana Moss is their #1 (I think Coles is much better, they should have kept him) and Gardner is a pretty good number 2. But they did need help in the secondary with the loss of Fred Smoot. They need to decide on a quarterback tho, they change their mind all the time between Brunell, Ramsey, and now they added another one to the mix. Cambell would have still been around in the secound, they should have drafted a wideout in the first instead.

The Jets should never have traded away their first round pick, instead of an average tight end, a good kicker, and a good CB they could have drafted someone else that would make more of an impact than the tight end they got. Personally tight end is kind of a weird postiion for me. Is it a blocker? A reciever? Why not get a big reciever who is faster?

The Jets needed to address the tight end position, and Heath Miller from Virginia was the only really good one in the draft. I dont think that Jolley was worth a number 1. And when did Miller get drafted? 30th overall to the Steelers. The Jets originally had the 26th pick, so he was going to be there. Poor decision on their part.

They basically gave up Miller to get Doug Jolley and some kicker... I don't see the worth in that.
Jason Campbell wasn't even the best QB available at the time for the Redskins... Charlie Frye coulda been a better pick.
McFadden runs a slow 40 but he has good game speed.

Jason White and Timmy Chang will become UDFAs.
JW had a weak arm and probably has a better shot as a WR than a QB.
Timmy Chang was a product of the system. He has a damn quick release but his arm isn't that great. In the NFL you are expected to throw the deep out w/o any problems and Chang's gonna have some problems.
It would be nice to see a man of oriental descent become QB in the NFL though

I like Campbell. Word has it that the only reason he wasn't rated as a high first rounder is because he scored poorly on the Wonderlic test. He's got a better arm that Rodgers, throws a great deep ball, he's very accurate, very athletic, and he's bigger than Smith. He's a great QB and he's going to do very well.
