Ive seen all the classic D heads like the revos, the edge, the wizard and x2 but is the E3 just as good as the orig edge for D? Does the answer deserve the 5 star ratings at lax.com, or is the torque superior to all? Need opinions on these heads from first hand expierance only

The E3 is too pinched. The Answer, I dunno about. The torque is more than average pinched for defense, and gets flexy kinda quick. ALso warps easily. Check out the Laxshopper reviews.

if you use the torque for defense, it will pinch itself and warp over time. Mine pinched from faceoffs and checks on midfield

the E3 is pretty stiff, from my experience but i think to pinched for D. All my friends who play D sware by their X2, revo and original edge. If your looking for ball control string a custom pocket in it, or 5D :worship:

The answer is a really flexible head so I don't think it would be a good D head. It seems more offense-oriented. The torque is said to warp pretty fast by some people but I haven't noticed that. When I had an E3 it seemed pretty stiff and it didn't seem to pinched for a D head but the X2 is proven to be a good D head over many years. I would go with the X2 or E3.

answer is extremely flexible, like a vector, the e3 is stiff but i think it would be too pinched, the totque is stiff but i don't know it it warps, though i wouldn't recommend it for D because if there is enough pressure on the scoop over time the first sidewall conector will break

I have an E3 on my pole, it's pretty good. It took time to get used to the pinch, but she's alright. It holds much better than the Edge+ I used to use, but that's probably because Kryptic strung it for me

Anything from the Edge series (minus the edge ice) is a decent D-head.

The torque is light and tight, not a d head but for attack. The answer, same thing not for d. The e3 though I've heard can really be used for any position. I'd go revo pro or wizard for d.

Not to echo everyone else, but from personal experience and teammate's: the Torque is a great attack/middie head, but won't hold up on the end of d-pole, the answer also is too flexible, and the E3 is really pinched. I absolutely love the Gait Wizard, and if you don't have to have this right away, would recommend checking out the Gait Chaos (available at laxunlimited may 1), it's suppose to be a newer, tighter, lighter version of the Wizard, but still stiffer and more open than the Torque.

What ever you do do not use an answer for defense. The answer bends way too easy for poke checks and is too pinched for defense. Try going with an X2 or something else wide like it

wow, this isnt even an appropriate question. the revo pro and revolution rule all. i might have to go to an edge plus. i just totaly bent the **** out of my revo pro. :( well it was worth it to see that my massive poke check took a middie out of the game.

anyone who says a head is too pinched for defense, ignore it unless you do not like pinched heads. if you like pinched heads, E3 will probably be fine. i cant say for sure, ive never used one. i wouldnt go with answer as many have said, and definately wouldnt go with torque because i personally think that its too flexable, however this is not saying that everyone doesnt like it. and ALL HEADS WARP ON DEFENSE! there is nothing you can do about this, except not playing or getting a new head every other game. im going to throw out another head option and say that you may want to check out the revo pro. it is IMHO the best d head out there. nice and pinched, and has a scoop that will not bend in a milimeter on a poke.
