My income tax refund came today and instead of being lame and spending it on a PSP or whatever I have decided to donate it to charity. Any ideas?

American Red Cross is a great organization. i give blood every time the bus is i'd school. i'd send it their way if i were you. they save a lot of lives.

Keep it in the sport...or at least helping kids...

They help schools get AEDs (defibrilators)to have on hand at sports events to help prevent kids from dying on the field...
I always find something specialized like that more rewarding...

9-11 has come and gone. Don't get me wrong, but there are more needy then those affected by 9-11. Put it to something like African relief. watch Sarah Mcglaughlins video called World On Fire.

I still say give it to a foundation you believe in and where the $$ can do the best...
If you give to Red Cross...Yes they are great...but your money might be spent on feeding a kid in Nigeria for a week...Yes stil a good cause...but...
If you gave to the Acompora fund, or any other specific fund, think of how many more people you would directly be affecting...
go with your heart...what you would want people to use the money for
