I was there this weekend and just returned home from the tournament. The incident is very real and i feel sorry for Fraz and all the Rebel Guys. Hopefully they will decide to go back to the tournament next year as it was a great time and great lacrosse.

Although the article stated that it might of been anti-american i dont believe it was as the same guy talked to three or four other people that were americans or canadians before the incident happened. I believe it was just too much too drink and maybe some mental or personally problems that drove him to the edge. It is very unfortunate though that Fraz was hurt very seriously and everyone here in Europe and from the tournament hopes he gets better soon.

I think it was just a freak incident. When you think about it the same thing could have happened in new york city or LA. It is very unfortuante what happened to Fraz, but I don't think its really gonna keep anyone from playing lax internationally.

I had a buddy coaching in London have his head smashed with a cricket mallet. Sucks that things like this would happen, but it still didn't deter him from going back, and it hasn't deterred me either.

In his case, the guys who jumped him were local guys who were taunting all of the coaches earlier with anti-american comments.

I would hope this doesn't become a trend..

Again this had nothing to do with it. I wish people could understand this!!! There was nothing political about it. It could of happened to anybody from the tournament. Even I talked to the guy and could tell he was a little off his rocker, so i walked away. Fraz, like I said is just a really trusting guy.

It was a comment in reference to WHEELAX's comment about a trend in anti-americanism...not this particular incident (otherwise I would have quoted a different part of the thread)...
I understand this one was probably just a crazy person who had a bit too much to drink and got beer muscles...
It is a shame this happened but it is good that he is OK...
