My friend and teammate is looking to buy a mesh kit of Jimalax. He doesn't know what to get and wants me to help. I wanted to get your opinions before I make a suggestion. He plays Defense on my team. I was going through and looking at the mesh and figure he would like a mesh with more hold rather than shot speed since well he wont be taking many shots. I was going to suggest 5 or 6 Diamond to him. Does anyone think this is bad? Or do you have any other suggestions?

uhmmmm I'm not sure and can't get ahold of him. At this moment he has a Gait Icon but like most of us on my team this year I think we are ordering different things for next Season. But right now I'll say a Gait Icon.

Well, first reccomend him a better d head like a x2, wizard or revo. Second, get either soft mesh (great for beginning d men) or maybe hard mesh if he likes it more.

You can't go wrong with 6d or 10d hard mesh. Order both from Jimalax ($9.00 for both) and then go to a hardware store and buy some 1/8 inch nylon rope for about $3 for 50 feet. Use that for topstring and sidewalls. Then get skate laces for around $2 a pair and use as shooters.

Or just buy the Traditional Hard Mesh Kit from Jimalax, I've strung those to perfection about 6 times, excellent quality/performance

Just buy a kit of 10d(hard) and some 6d. I personally love 6d on my D-stick, but a lot of people like hard mesh too. All of the d-men on my team uses 6d and they got me into it and I swear by it now.

get him a used x2 and string it with a kit from jimalax, 6 diamond, the color of your school or his color preference.

My profile came with soft mesh, and I wanted to try 10D hard mesh on it. I know it's mostly preference, but are certain kinds of mesh better for different kinds of heads? BTW I play mid.
Sorry for off topic, just didn't want to start a new thread on a simple question.
