Only thing I can mention is that the strings all look rather loose, other than that nice job, the pinch looks pretty good.

You have the actual concepts of stringing down. Just tighten the sidewalls and actually break the mesh in so the sidewalls dont have to be so loose.

stretch the mesh and redo the sidewalls tight

Nice job for a first timer. If you want some tips on getting a deeper pocket without having the sidewall strings so loose, read this article.

All I have to say, is it looks like you strung the mesh in flat and tried to loosen everything afterwards. You have to keep the mesh vertically, almost hanging by the sidewall string while stringing it to get a good, deep pocket. The streched mesh hanging over the sidewalls horizontally makes that obvious.

I don't understand why all you guys are freaking out. It's not like your first pocket was perfet; it probably sucked just as much as this.

Very nice for a first time! Good job with the pinch, the only problem is that you could definetly tighten the sidewalls. Just undo the back knot and pull on each one starting at the top and going down, then make a new knot and you should be all good. Also, laxd42 don't be a ****ing ***** don't post if you don't have anything good to say.

laxd42, chill out. You just earned yourself your first and only warning. Flame anymore and you're gone.

Also helpful- Take the mesh and soak it in a sinkful of steaming hot water with some form of soap (I use Dawn or something with bleach alternative), it makes the mesh much more malleable and loose. It also makes it nice and white.

did he do the sidewalls from inside out instead of outside in?

i have a blaze i got as my first ok stick (one before it was a shotgun on a steel d pole, that thing was a beast to handle...) anyway, i got bored over the weekend so i pinched that sucker, and strung it with some 6-d i had lying around, now it has the front profile of a revo-pro, it is just barely legal, i love it. its just my goof around stick because i am a defenceman, but it has surprised a few people because they dont regard the blaze as a good head, but now it has a super pinch and a quick release...all for about $30 =D
