Are you kidding me, this could be the end of the league as we know it. I've always liked MLL better, but i never wanted the NLL to stop. I love Wings games and go to as many as I can. The two sides better work this thing out for all of lacrosse's sake.

I find out we might get NLL on tv in australia through Fox and now this whats your opinions on this action?? is the league justified in doing this ? are the players getting greedy?? i think the league should get non union players to keep the NLL alive and i think the players who wont play need to have a seriouse think about it small money is better than no money

It would be suicide to cancel the season...
I think the NLL is bluffing...at the deadline if nothing is resolved...they'll "extend" the deadline another day or two...

thats very true, I could see that happening, but also some owners might think of it as a way out. The ones that are losing money.

Its no bluff:cry
The PLPA did this. Complain to them.
In fact, why not....I'll start a thread, and you all can email the PLPA, and let them know your feelings about this.

Matt...you can't be siding with "tha man"...
yeah the PLPA kicked it up by striking...but I ask you...
If the teacher's union contracts were about to expire, and the school offered a contract with no raise and said that in each class a midget would be there continuously kicking you in the arse from bell to bell...and the teachers union struck...then they closed the school because of no teachers...would you blame the teachers or the school???

And the difference between entertainment unions and education unions is revealed.
Here's the simple answer. There is a difference between getting what you deserve, and going completely overboard.
Getting what you deserve is a nice raise in pay, stability, and a promising future.
Going overboard is when you demand a 1 year deal, and start making plans for an event that hasn't happened yet.
A lot of the PLPA and NLL differences lied in grandeuresque ideals, and foresight past that of a traveling gypsy. How can you insist on a governing body to plan for something that hasn't happened yet, and commit to it?
Turning this around, being in that same school strike. If I represented the teachers, and insisted to the school district that I demand that any students who are half human-half alien, have teachers who are skilled in teaching those students, and then throw a fit when my demand is not met.....am I being responsible, or rediculous? Would the teachers jobs that I lose because I won't give in to the school district, and continue insisting upon my demands, be my fault? Is it possible that one day we will have half alien-half human children?
Will I look rediculously intelligent if this happens????
Chew on that for a little. This is what was going on. And fortunately, I will be able to keep all the details to myself. Because that means that there is lacrosse to play, and there are much more important details to talk about......like does any team stand a chance against my Wings????

ok...ok...so apparently there was some "misinformation" about the honesty of the PLPA...I'll stop bashing the league...I still think it is both their faults...they all be punk arse biatches...
The National Lacrosse League has announced that an agreement has been reached with the Professional Lacrosse Player’s Association (PLPA) to extend the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement for the 2003-2004 season with minor modifications. The agreement ensures that the entire season will take place free of interruption by a strike or lockout. The PLPA called off its player’s strike on Thursday night, which lasted twelve days. The league and the player’s association have agreed to play the season under the general terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement from the previous season.
