The NLL has given its last gasp. If the PLPA or the players don't sign by 12:00pm, December 18th 2003, the NLL will cancel the 2004 season. If you are as pissed as I am about this, take action. Email the Professional Lacrosse Players Association, and let them know how you feel about the end of the NLL.

I recently did an interview with Dave Succamore (vice president of the PLPA) about the strike situation.

I asked, "What is your take on the overall negative reaction from the fans on the strike, and do you expect any of this anger to linger?"

He responded, "I was not aware that the fans were upset."

I think we need to tell them in A RESPONSIBLE WAY our feelings on this issue.

thats a good idea but do you realy think a bunch of people on a message board can change their mind on their decision of salaries?

If you were someone surrounded by/in a group of people just as disgruntled as you who had to put up with the season it would be hard not to be swayed or to go against the crowd.

I think hearing a fan's perspective would be sure to put different thoughts in their minds instead of the negative ones they put out now.

I dont know if that made sense but it did in my head... anyway hopefully you get it.

To answer your question....yes.

Never, ever, EVER, underestimate the power of the printed word my friend. Deals have been changed, rivers forged, empires won and lost, all on the basis of the printed word.

Remember, in sports there is always 3 necessary components, in order for that sport to thrive.

Players
Management
Fans

Without each of those components, the league withers and dies. No players means no games, no management means no money allocation, and no fans, means no money supply.

Something has never come from nothing. So, change is sparked from something. You are one component of that universal wheel....might as well help it spin a little.

BTW...thanks to the many people who participated in one form or another contacting the PLPA, the NLL, or the players themselves....the strike seems to be over.

Hey mabey it work, this is a quote from the Comish:

“We’ve reached an agreement that will allow the season to be played with the best lacrosse players in the world, and without any interruption for the upcoming season ”, said Commissioner Jim Jennings. “We can now turn our attention to what should be a great season. I would like to thank all of our fans who showed their concern during the past couple of weeks”.
