revolution vs. revo pro

ok so i play long pole d and am looking for a new head and have narrowed it doen to the revo pro and original revolution. I hear the revolution is a slightly wider head so its a bit better for knocking down passes and the like, but to my understanding the revo pro is stiffer, alowing for better chacks, and has better ball control. The revolution is also 10 bucks cheaper than the revo pro. Which would you guys reccomend for me? Im still developing my style of play but i like to keep my stick infront of their head to block passes and i like throwing lots of wicked checks of the poke and slap varieties. what do you think?

yeah the revo is more than just slightly wider, its almost opposite end of the spectrum wider, but yeah i think the revo pro is stiffer, but believe me the revo is still stiff, i think you'd be fine just goin old revo unless your like a beast on groundballs and knocking down passes, but really just go with the revo

hmm ok.... anyone else have an opinion about this?
also would it be possible to pinch the lower rails a little bit so the sidewalls flare out a bit like the razer?

In my hand is the Warrior product guide.

It says that the Revolution is more pinched. Which I'm a bit skeptical about.

I would have to go for the Revolution. First, because Warrior is tryng to rip people off, into buying the same head basically for way more money, and on the RevoPro the flared sidewalls arent that flared. So save a buck and get the Revolution

Dude, giantredlobster, you don't understand. The evo pro/revo pro are two completely different heads from their counterparts. Go with the revo pro, cough up the extra cash and get it.

if u take a revo pro and revo and compare em they're different heads. the pinch, the face in general is different

REVO PRo is not great for D because of that pinch.

Bad for knocking out passes, bad for ground balls.

The revo gives you so much more space to learn good habits and proper precedure

regular revo. i think its a bit stiffer than the revo pro. ive tried both and for defense, go with the revo.

i thought the rev pro was supposed to be stiffer and more durable. me personally- id go with the rev pro

Depends on how stiff you want your head.

Wide and stiff = Revolution

Pinched to the max and EXTREMELY stiff = Revo Pro.

I personally say USE YOUR MAXIMUM! Get the Revolution! One, you save some money (because lacrosse isn't lacrosse if it's not expensive), two, it allows you to use the biggest head possible so you can knock down passes/shots.

i have a evo and i play attack and its pinched enough for me and its almost the same as a revo

Say what?! The ONLY wider head than a Revolution is POSSIBLY the X2. Even that isn't much of a difference.

I don't know about that. The X2 is like 2 cm wider. Also, the Proton is MUCH wider, the Vapor is MUCH wider, the AV8 is MUCH wider. There are a bunch of wider heads.

3 inches above the throat my Revolution is 8 centimeters wide. I think the X2 is like 11.
