I am an attackman at the the JV level, possibly playing at the varsity level next year. I currently own Hitman 5.0 shoulder pads, and I absolutely hate them. The bulkiness annoys me to death. I am the type of player that gets pretty beat up because I'm not the fastest guy on the field, but bulky pads really mess up my playing. I have no budget, and I am up for many opinions on what to get, but please give a good reason why the shoulder pads you request will be good.
WHAT SHOULDER PADS SHOULD I GET?????

well if you really have no buget then i ouwld go with the warior players club 6.0 cause they provide soo much prrotection and a kid on my team has them and yes they are pretty discrete. also rhino skin looks like your not wearing anything. but a check might heart a little bit more in those ones.

brine makes a few shoulder pads that are all worth trying on, the supercrosse and the element.

i think the gait/debeer intrepids are nice. I know price isnt a problem here but theyre only about 30-40, provide you with the protection you need and theyre light and easy to move in.
but before you buy your new shoulder pads, it would be a smart idea to go to the nearest store and try some of them out.

The new STX G-Forces seem to be what you want. They are very low profile but protective. The outside is hard plastic but it is lined with this shock absorbant stuff. :worship: Another possiblility is the Glads. Spartan cores look pretty low profile. One thing I will say though is that if you think that the Hitman is too bulky you might want to stay away from Warrior, all of their pads are of a similar design.

I use a pair of brine sp4's and pulled off the upper arm pads. They are nice and light and i never notice them. Also dont have any trouble w/ checks with them and ive used them for 5 years.

I have the Spartan Core's. They are so awesome and don't restrict movement at all. Too bad it's a real problem when you get poke checked on the top of the arm near the shoulder; it's a real pain. Most pads have protection there, little things which are connected to the shoulders, you know what I'm talking about, right? Those things should be detachable, so, it might look weird, but you could slip those on and wear the Cores. I love the SC, and it's only $40.

I really like this idea.
Does anybody else do this, or know someone who does this.
On some website, I read that the adams shoulder pad liners are used by a majority of the NCAA players. Is this true?

Rhinoskiiiiin. Thats the stuff man. I use it, its like wearing a t-shirt but protects enough so you dont really get hurt
EDIT: and yea mikey powell used the adams liners last year, a bunch of guys i met from salisbury use them, and alot of guys in major division I colleges do.
