would anyone recommend a wood shaft? could people just list the pros and cons and maybe tell me to find one?

they're very strong, but a little on the heavy side. i would not recomend a wood shaft unless you are huge and dont mind a heavy stick...also, post in the right forum, you wont get flamed and you will get a better response.

If you play more defensive middie you might want to invest in one just to see if you like it. Theyre relatively cheap and deliver monstrous checks. However theyre pretty heavy. I don't recommend them for primarily offensive players.
