Any Big/Tall Middies

Hey i'm a freshman, 6'2 175 and i'm supposed to be about 6'3-6'4 and i'm wondering if there r any other tall middies out there, or if u know of any at the pro/college level. the thing ia lways hear, of coruse, is switch to d and i just wondered. thanx

I'm a tall middie 6'3'' 180. As long as your stick skills are great dont give up middie man. Theres always a need for tall guys to shoot over the other short kids there.

Look at Kevin Cassesse, that guy is massive.
I'm about 6 feet, and I'm not even a freshman yet...I play mid although I may be switching to D, though not because of my size. Our best defenseman this past season was a short kid, but he was quick and strong.
If you're a big middie, as long as you have the skills and endurance, use your size to your advantage.

we had a middie on our team, but he had played pole in high school. he was probably one of two of the best defensive middies on our team. so i dunno, he was still defensive minded. hes 6'3". so am i but im a goalie. theres all sorts of debates about our heights.

Don't mean to change the topic...but on the subject of tall goalies, how's that feel? It seems like it would be a little awkward in a 6ft tall goal?

A defender on my team is like 6'4. I'm pushin 6 foot and about 175-180 pounds. Im the biggest middie on my team

well you arent really IN the goal, but yea i mean i kinda bend my knees and crouch down some, but yea i wouldnt know what being a short goalie is like so it just normal for me...sorry that im no help :P

for 8th grade im a big middy 5' 11" -160lbs... as long as u got the stick skills speed and footwork ur fine at middy

Well if you play better defense than offense, you might want to consider switching to D. It's a lot of fun ;)

perfect example. One of the middies on loyolas team, is 6'3'' about 250. He tears it up. Brady can lay down hits, take the face and score. Dont give up middie man

Our goalie is a 6'4, 315lbs line backer. He averages 20 saves a game

thats weird most schools and places i have played(football and lacrosse) time the 40 yd dash...

wow you guys make me feel like a shrimp, 8th grade headin into 9th and im only like 5'2 or 5'3 i think, but im really fast and have great stick skills and footwork but i play offense but i can clock a kid about twice my size 'cause im really strong

I'm a 6'2'' 215 lb defender but we have a 6'6'' 250 lb defender as well. But anyways, since we're talking about middies, we also have a 6'4'' middie. I'm not sure what he weighs, but he's extremely skinny. I'd say about 170-180.
