Custom Dyed Tenacity

I just got a Brine Tenacity and I got a white head so I could dye it-And I thought that dying it my school colors was so overrated within my team b/c everyone does it, so I dyed it Orange and White--Its sick..Its got my nickname mid scoop and my schools name on the left and '06 on the right with splatter glue gun design just on the sidewalls- and with the tenacity the kineflex turned a lighter orange making the stick stand out-- Once I string it Ill post pictures.

It took 5 minutes to put the stickers on then the hot gun was an easy 5 minutes..I used Sunshine Orange to match the end cap so since it was a light color, I let it sit in the dye for 2 minutes..It took me awhile to string it b/c I couldnt get it very tight then on the 3rd leather I noticed I didnt have enough orange nylon to finish, so I undid it and did the sides yellow and the middle orange, so in all about 2 hrs

That is some sweet stuff! I love the look of it. What did you use sticker wise and did you heat it with a dryer or anything to make it stick? I've been wondering myself how to make sure the letters come out nice and clear.

Also what do you think of using hockey laces as shooting strings...and having shooting strings on a women's head in general? I've never had them like that (a guy's stick) so I'd be interested in knowing the effect. I was not aware that they were legal as I'd been told they were not. Again, nice job!

Okay, yes, laces are illegal, but me, play by the rules? NO! Ive been playing with an illegal stick for 8 years.."inchy"(its illegal by an inch) I couldnt fit nylon shooters in the sidewall holes, so lax isnt for 2 1/2 months in my school, so when the time comes, Ill change them..But for now, illegal or not, Im playing with it!! Its sick!

Laxchc- I used stickers that were suppose to be for my scrapbook, but they were calling out to be used for something more intense. They are from Michael's(you could get them from Staples, etc..anywhere that has art supplies) In my kitchen, we have a halogen on a flat stove, and I put it on high and it heat up real fast, and I held it over that for 1-1/2 mins

sumSum: I like the shooting strings, I mean, this is only my second girls stick, Ive been playing with a STX(not sure what head) since I was 6 and its done me well! I still play with it, its in awesome condition..But anyways, Ive never played a game or prax without shooters...I tried once just fooling around, with a Apex, I hate the head and shaft(apex) anyways, but I didnt like how it felt going to goal- Just my opinion. Even with my brother hand-me-down guys sticks, they had shooters... So I cant really make a good comparison

LaxDave: I play aggressive, Ive grown up around all guys, its kinda natural for me- Any sport I play, aggression is key! I can play just as hard as a lot of the guys in my school. And I love my illegal stick, its my baby! I just dont abuse my stick! It doesnt take checks, it gives checks, and they just dent my head.

And since I play attack, a short shaft is useful!

Oh man, first, <b>you are good!</b> second..All the guys in my school think girls lax is a fluke. There are only about 5 really good guys in my school.In girls lax, there are so many of us, we even had an all american last year, shes f**kin awesome! Alot of the seniors who left are real good also, and up coming players like myself and everyother girl who has been playing for a long time are a hell of alot better then the guys lax team--We could kick there *** anyday!

And I also think girls should be able to have almost the same rules and equipment as guys lax- Its not fair for us who find the field a stress "ball" if you know what I mean!

wow..... DuLax, you're awesome. I play college lax and not a day goes by that I wish i could pad up and play guys. My coach rides me all the time about being too agressive as a defender. The whole goggle issue ticks me off too. I had to play with them in high school and now I have to put up w/ them. I got the opportunity this summer to suit up and play guys lax against some D1 and top D3 guys and it was AWESOME. We bummed around, but the fact that I got to hit was great. Don't get me wrong, I love girls lax, but i wish we had the option of playing one or the other. These goggles do nothing.

i still keep in touch w/ my hs friends tho. Most of them are still my best friends. The best advice I can tell you about college is to be yourself, don't try ot fit anyone elses mold and just have fun. Meet as many people as you can during your freshman year. I didnt do that (thats what happens when you go to college w a boyfriend.... you don't pay attention to anyone else around you). Now I wish I had. You WILL find people just like you, but who you'd never expect to become your best friends

Now not to be the party pooper, lol. My opinion is if a girl wants to play guys lax and can handle it, I guess she should be able to, same in other sports. I would like to play guys sure but I'd rather play women's. Its who I am and I've grown up playing it. I would feel like a traitor. I think women's lacrosse should stay the same, WITHOUT goggles (thats a whole other story...). The sport is its own and I would not want to change it for the world. Some I'm for, like getting rid of shooting space (stupid anyway. never seen anyone truly endangered by that) and the no boundaries. But the general rules of the game I think should stay. It is a completely different game than mens but thats what I like. I'm what you would call a purist.
