How lenient are you refs to a scoop if it is, say, 6.4" or so?

my geuss, if they become flexible with the rule, it would be a disaster cause comeone would push it from 6.4 to 6.35 and so on..i dont ref lax but when i ref hockey, if the blade is more than .2 off, i call it. .2 is my margin for error, after that and im not screwing up that badly.

If you're at 6 3/8" okay, anything less forget it!

That would be a penalty in my game.
If when you measure it, its close then it is too pinched.

Thanks.
This might sound like a dumb question, but what exactly is too pinched? Just when the ball won't fall out (like in today's Maryland--Georgetown game) or is there someting else?
