Are the rules in that book the same rules that they use today in lacrosse, just asking cause that book was made forever ago

I've never read the book but if it was written "forever ago" then there are probably some differences.

Just skimming my copy now. Chapter 3 gives a nice summary of the NCAA rules at the time of the book's publication- 1976. Suprisingly, most of this summary still holds true.

The field markings and dimensions have changed a bit. Sticks are now short- 40-42"; or long- 52-72". Outside the range, or 42-52" sticks are illegal. Time limits have been added for clearing the ball, and moving it into the goal area once it has cleared midfield.

Many details have changed since 1976, but the limited scope of the rules summary in the book doesn't cover many details at all. Any specific questions?

And thanks! I haven't picked up my copy of this book in years, and now I'm enjoying it all over again.
