sprained ankle

Today i sprained my ankle on a field trip. When we got back the teacher amde me go to the nurese who said that it was sprained.
Ive been icing it but is still hard to walk on. I have a game tomrow and was wondering how long it takes to heal.

sprained ankles can be worse then breaks actually, they can take FOREVER to heal up totally. once i sprained mine, i had to wear a brace for a yaer and a half, while it hurt that whole time, and then one day it didnt hurt anymore...

It depends on how bad you sprain it. If it's bad wait till it feels better. When you start to play again wait for practice, don'tjump right in a game and re-aprain it.

if you feel like you can play on it go ahead, but be careful, if you re-sprain it or mess it up even more you'll be out a lot longer than one game

word of advice, i sprained my ankle in the 3rd quarter of a game. I finished the game but i ended up wearing a brace on that ankle for another year in every sport i played
