I think that sounds good, they are durable afterall. I would just worry that all of those plastic bars and designs on the sidewalls may crack and stuff because you could step on it, but that's just me. I think you should try it.

yeah they are good for faceoffs with the shortened throat, it lets you get a little closer to the throat so u can clamp more quickly, but doesn't make a huge difference. Also, theyre durable but still bend some. i love mine!

Oracles are horrable for facing, if u getting new head, get a revo pro. Oracles, might look strong, but they bend way to easy, plus they are a wide head.

it wouldn't seem like that great of a FO head because of how oddly shaped it is, plus its offset design doesn't look very friendly for FO people either.

a face off middie on our team had one and never used it for face offs because it was too big or something.

You, sir, have never played with an Oracle. Hush up until you do.
I think it would be ALRIGHT for facing off, no cracks or breaks, it's a bit flimsy so that's good, but i'd suggest other heads first. The sidewalls are really thick and you probably wouldn't win many face-offs unless you are really good.

michael, u havent ever played with an oracle. and its a perfect face off head. shortened throat, flexible, unbreakable, and inward sidewalls. plus its not at all wide. its way more pinched than ur proton so shut up. plus i know for a fact that LCN owns an oracle

You
These people say it's bad.
It's even, so don't be a smarta$$ and say "everyone says it sucks" And guess what? You know how on the bottom of the head it flairs out? Yeah that would be great for face-offs but you wouldn't know seeing as how you've never touched a physical Oracle.
Stiff =/= strong.
Bendy and not snapping = strong.
Flimsy/thin = weak.

Great face off heads in my experience are the proton, X2, and the original evolution and revolution.

I'm head face-off middie for West Genesee and i have used or tried almost everyhead on the market for face-offs. The oracle is a terrible head to use. If you want the best face-off head stick with the nitrous. It durable, strong, and pinched to allower easier clamps.

michael now it throws perfect, and u have never played with an oracle so shut up until u do. it is amazing for faceoffs. o yeah, i didnt even buy the oracle just FYI and considering you have never used a revo pro either, you're not one to speak of either.

Hey BrusMeister, i just bought my own Oracle, and after screwin around with it, i've realized it's probably a GREAT face-off head. The flimsy-ness helps a lot and it probably won't break. You lose. :P

Do any of you know if it would be good on d?
D Bay
06-11-2005, 10:27 AM
No, it wouldn't be good for D probably because it is really flexible, so checks wouldn't hurt as bad.

Wow, mmkay.
Like D Bay said, they are probably too flexible for D. Wouldn't be intimidating enough.
