im getting some new mesh for a revolution and i am going to order from jimalax. i want to get 10d hardmesh but im not sure witch color to go with, maroon, black, silver, or plain white. does anyone have pictures of sticks strung with any of these three colors? does the color ffect anything other than asethetics [like make the mesh stiff due to dye or something?]?

thanks

sometimes they color will make the mesh a little stiffer and will not break in as fast as white mesh. white mesh will proform the best, last the longest, and it breaks in the fastest.

id stay away from the maroon mesh, and possibly black. id say stick with white unless you want to sacrifice performance for looks.

laxdevil - how did u break your (hardmesh?) in? i.e. conditioner, stretching it out under water, or just pounding it after stringing. I was thinking about using conditioner but havent done it before and i dont want to mess up and lose my hard earned money. Does the conditioner make the mesh lose any of its attributes or soften it up at all? Its really not that important to me if it does, id just like to know. I read the sticky, is there anything else youd like to advise before i use the conditioner? any better method? btw its jimalax white hard mesh.

I used conditioner on my jimalax hard and it softened it up a bit, but not a whole lot. I still need to break it in a little bit more and then it should be good. I may not even stay with it, I may try american, does anyone have any opinions on jima's american mesh? For the hard mesh though, you should soak it in the hottest water your sink has for 15 mins and then take it out and stretch it a little bit and then use the conditioner and wash it out with water(I used medium hottness so I didn't burn my hand) Then I rolled it up like you would a towel when you wring out the water and I pulled both sides in order to stretch it some more and I also twisted it a little bit to help get some of the water out. Overall it turned out alright, but I would like it to be softer.

did u use the ball and knife method when stringing? After you strung it, did it stretch anymore?
