I was out of town all week and missed the championship game Monday. I did record it but had to avoid contact during the week with all things lacrosse so I wouldn't know who won until I could watch the game tonight.
Great game, great comments here in the forum the days after the game. I'm sorry I wasn't there in person this year to watch eme. I was fortunate to be there last year. Those games are a real road trip from here in Texas!
As for the microphones on the officials....coming from a football referee who is miked most games (although I do have the capability of keeping it off until I want to use it), I thought it worked out very well. I was especially interested in hearing the exchanges with the coaches during the game and the explanations of why it wasn't that official's call to make, and saying it without selling out his partner. Officiating in any sport is all about communication and the guys this weekend seemed to do very well.
