stolen wallet

I'm gonna get my license tomorrow and someone stole my wallet, it had my drivers permit in it. I dk if anyone can actually answer my question but can I just bring my social security and birth card to get my license? I want to hit the guy in the face who stole my wallet, it was just last week too. He could have just left the wallet and takin the 20$ that was in it.

im thinking you need proof that you went to drivers ed. Your permit is stamped or something. Im pretty sure you have to ahve your permit

Gettin proof that you went to Drivers Ed? Can't you just go to the place you got Drivers Ed from?

My friend lost his permit also. So right before he went to go get his liscense he had to go get another permit.

i lost my wallet and it had 400 bucks in it. plus credit card, licence, school ID, blah blah blah... that sucks homie, hope you get a license

When I got my permit, they entered it into the dps computer. I think if you show them that you are who you are, then they will know that you have gotten your permit and will let you get your liscense.

I didn't have to present my permit when taking my Drivers test.. Just the paper receipt that you get for completing the 5-hour course.

It was no problem...they said it happens all the time and had it in their records. The guy gave us a problem about my dads tag though, you get 15 days after it says the tag expires and he said we had to go get a new tag. bs...just went in there and told his supervisor and it was fine after that. finnaly got my license after 7months of waiting!
