are any of you guys into stick dyeing? on the e-lacrosse website, all of the "dyers" were guys, so i was wondering if anyone had a cool design for me to dye on my new head? thanks boys. by the way, if any of you guys know last years stick dyeing winner, steve moore, i just wanna say how chill his stick was, and that NO ONE could top a dye job like that.

hopefully i will be able to do that one this summer. i have never dyed a head before so do you think this will be to hard for a beginner. it SEEMS easy and i will go through most popular types of dying.... solid, fade and glue gun. i figure if i take my time i will do all right. any thoughts or tips???

steve moore's design was simple yet really good, and i tried doing it over the spring season, and it came out really well. i think the glue gun is like the best thing ever invented. i really like it how he made his squiggles really close together, and not far apart like some other dyes i've seen. basically, i was looking for a color scheme.

yea, they make all of the girls sticks in white, its just that yellow's the most popular color out there beucase we use yellow balls when we played, as for you guys white balls = white sticks. the hard part is finding unstrung sticks to dye, but i live in northern VA, and there's this GREAT lacrosse store, where they have like EVERYTHING. and if they don't have it, they'll just order it for you, and it'll be there in a week. on the stick that i'm playing with next year, i was planning on dyeing it yellow fading to orange at the crosse, and then using the glue gun to put red all over the whole stick. on my other stick, its like a really cheap one, i got for 10 bucks(discounted big time and i couldn't resist getting it) i was planning on make it blue with white inwalls, and then using the glue gun again to put aqua over the whole thing. a great site to mix colors around is http://ritdye.com/ritproline/color_recipes.asp the colors won't turn out exactly like how the website portrays them, but i really like the aqua color, beucase last time i tried out that color, it came out this really intense greenish blueish color, like the color of the ocean. when you're dyeing just remember to check on the stick often, like every 30 seconds.anyone have any ideas on dye designs? i'd LOVE to hear of them

I would love to dye my head but I've played with it. Would dying a used (ie: somewhat dirty) head work out?

lizlax22
07-06-2003, 09:13 PM
for the best dye results a brand new head is best but theres no stopin u from dyeing a used head u just want to remove all the dirt u can

laxbabe2121
07-06-2003, 09:29 PM
make sure to clean the used head really well. when i first dyed my first head, it was like 2 years ago, and i scrubbed it w/ a ton of soap, and let it sit in bleach for almost a day. just try and get the dirt off at least, and the color of the dye will mostly cover the fact that its been used

yeah, im going to dye my surge over break, and i was wondering what kind of pattern yall think would look good. after seeing e-lacrosses fuse dye, i have been determined to find a dye for my head. they gray stuff makes an awesome silver shade when died.

should i splatter, hot-glue, or something else.

im going to have my head fade from white to blue with black coverings. my school colors when you add the silver polymer.

hot glue might not go over so hot it might damage the polymer on the surge that makes the stick shall we say "special" i woulnd't reccomend dying a fuse cause you never know what color the "special" stuff is gonna come out as

BlakFate

never ever ever dye a fuse its made of a different plastic than other sticks and when dyed black ti becomes like a messed up grayish purple color like that one on e lacrosse also no colour comes out the way it should
