now to get your stick to throw high do you tighten or loosen the shooting strings? im fooling with ideas and i hate having sticks throw down

Put less whip on the stick by making each each shooting string nearer to the same tightness as the next. You still want the lowest shooting string to be the loosest though and the top one to be the tightest. Also, don't forget point your elbow higher.

Tighten the throat/bottom string.
