well it looks good to me. Its nice to find out people are still concerned with stringing. I string a lot but i find that here in VA there arent a lot of people who will pay to get stringing done. Been turned down twice for a stringing job just cause there really isnt that big of a need. Hopefully i'll string during summer league and get people that way. Good luck man with ur business

you really should show some pics of YOUR work. and why should we send our sticks to you? you need some credentials. for all i know you could be some smart 12 year old kids who can throw together a "pocket" and want to sell them.

Ya I think its kinda lame you took pics from Jimalax and other sites. But I understand you were just trying to get the site up. Definately try to get pics up of sticks you strung and get pics of the mesh by itself (not ones from Jimalax)

06-12-2005, 05:58 PM

Not true. I live in the Hampton Roads area of VA and i strang every stick on my team plus other people from other teams. I mad about $200 this season just from my one team. Not enough for a soild job, but nice on the side.

GET A BETTER PROVIDER!!! The popups are killing me. Hopefully after you string a few sticks you pay the $60 a year to get freewebs or somebody to host your site pop-up free. Good luck guys.
CuseLax18
06-13-2005, 09:32 AM
I didn't get a single pop up! Heh...
I can't wait to see the pictures, sounds like a pretty cool idea.
TexasLax13
06-13-2005, 09:50 AM
ya, no offence brady but with firefox and such it is really easy o block popups and if you are talking aobut banners their are only like 3 and you can close out of one of them not bad for a free website
Brady
06-13-2005, 10:56 AM
I'm not ripping you guys. I'm just telling you my first impressions. And are you going to tell your customers that firefox will block all of the popups and to just close them? If so, then that's how you handle your business. I'm just telling you that if you want to have a more professional feel to your site you may want to spend the few bucks it will cost. When you go to a store do they just throw merchandise on the shelf behind some junk or do they PRESENT it?
Constructive criticism, guys. That's all that this is. I was actually trying to help out by telling you that from a customer's perspective--I'm not really too into giving money to a couple of guys with an obviously FREE website who may or may not actually provide the services they say they will. <--- By saying this, I'm not attacking you guys, but rather giving you an idea of what impression people may get from your website.

GEt a better provider. Id reccomend Cyhosting (cyhosting.com). They give you your own .com/.biz/.tv etc. etc. Name! No popups or ads either!

I'd watch who you reference on your page. And also who you steal your mesh photos from.

You are boardering on Libel and copyright infringement. Those are some heavy charges.

Houston Thank you for the info on the pictures of the mesh they are now off the site and when I recive the jimalax in the mail can I take pictures of themeshI recive? thanks
Brady
06-13-2005, 12:04 PM
You may also want to contact Jimalax and ask them about the possibility of having something along the lines of "all of our sticks are strung using Jimalax (www.jimalax.com) supplies" and see if they'd be amicable about that type of situation.
TexasLax13
06-13-2005, 12:05 PM

can I take pics of kjimalax mesh that I have and put them up their?
Houstonlax22
06-13-2005, 12:24 PM
You can take pictures of the mesh yourself, just not the ones used by other companies. Beware about your accusations of Texas Lacrosse a.k.a. Texlax especially since your making statements in writing. That's what Libel is, a form of Slander.
TexasLax13
06-13-2005, 12:31 PM
can I put "other lacrosse stores"
tlaing22
06-13-2005, 12:34 PM
yes because it is a broad stroke without any acusational statements involved. I'd suggest keeping Texlax/GBLax's name off of the site and not mention their names on the messageboards because it can all be considered Libel.
TexasLax13
06-13-2005, 12:36 PM
ok thank you it is now changed to "other lacrosse companys"

if its sean's bro then your not a "pro" or "experienced" stringer yourself bc last time i heard u were having baine strings ur heads "about 2 months ago" (on ur vapor u traded for the i-beam). So r u going to be the one stringing or someone else. If ur going to have riley string dont have him do mesh, hes pretty bad at mesh but pretty good at things like trad. Also wheres sean, he hasnt been on aim.........

Does anyone know the adverage length of a shooting string so i now where to cut it off at?I know this makes me sound like a d!ck, but I'm sorry...
If you have to ask how long to cut shooting strings, then you have no business trying to run a stringing business. Keep practicing though, and someday you'll get there.
