Hey I'm in 6th grade and I play for my local lacrosse team.I have never ever seen a lacrosse stick break. I've also been to a ton of high school games never seen a stick break. I was wondering when sticks start breaking?

Some kid at camp last week in 95 degree f weather broke a good condition Db803 by cross checking a kid in the elbow. So i think they can break at any time in really cold weather or hot weather

Shh!
But they are more likely to break in cold temps. My STX Dominator snapped in 4-5 places when it was 10 degrees F out.

Ya LCN, i agree cold weather cause it to break more easily, but just the way metal acts at differnt temps. this is what happens in cold and hot weather:
cold weather= more likely to break
Hot weather= more likely to bend, but can bend until the break
Also a stick can break at anytime but more often when they've been used alot and in rough game

It does have to do with the weather but also the quality of the stick for instance if you are older and throw hard stick checks the chances of it breaking are.

I understand where you're comin from.
To Izzymiddie: Attack027's statement "Also a stick can break at anytime but more often when they've been used alot and in rough game" is 100% true. Just depends on conditions.

My friend had bunch of dents around the mniddle of his d-pole. I checked it in the middle of the stick when he was going for a ground ball and the stick snapped in half. it was like 80 degrees F out so not to hot.

Prime example. A lot of wear and tear, and it snapped.

Whenever you get a bad stick it will probably break.
Example: Aluminum shaft with a first-batch Deuce!
