Hey this is really confusing to describe
but some sticks, like my torque, "curve" or "taper" back at the scoop...that is if ur holding them horizontally u see the scoop flatten out instead of slanting up. others don't have this as much and "rise consistently" at the scoop.
could someone explain y it is done, and the pros and cons of each.
sry this is probably really confusing.

I think so it is easy to scoop, so you don't have to get as low.

how does it affect your throwing?

it tends to affect the whip a little bit and you have to release your shots and passes sooner but it helps ground balls

actually, the opposite. An onset stick/ scoop has a quicker release than an offset stick. I'm not going to go into the physics but the 1 in-2in difference in placement of the scoop (w/ the offset) means that the ball comes out later.

My son's Brine Answer is flattened like you describe. My matrix is more curved. I think it's easier to scoop when it's more curved. I had a torque, and that was one of the things I didn't like about it -- it's tip was too flat. It makes it harder to flick a pass to a teammate when the ball is resting on the ground too. It seems to slip off the flatter it is.

if the scoop of the head bends back the ball will never touch the top like it would on an onset head. it releases about where you would put a nylon on a powell pocket

the can't makes it so you still have the advantadges of a more offset stick down closer to the middle and throat section, but still retain somewhat of the onset release, it's for a quicker release and could help on groundballs....that's what i think it is correct me if i'm wrong
