I played with Amie Biros in high school. She played for one of the top moco teams, Whitman. I remember her being good but not outstanding. Than again I only saw her play maybe once. It's awsome she's reppin moco! So the usuals are on this list.

My question is what is the point of this team? Do they play other teams at all? Is it simply a way for future Elite members to gain chemistry?

The Developmental Team will participate in a clinic at the 2005 IFWLA World Cup on June 25, prior to the U.S. game against Canada. The team will compete in exhibition games throughout the 2005-2006 year. hehe I'm so good at copying and pasteing.

This is a little off topic-but speaking of the U.S. team-does anyone know Terra Singleton? Her dad is a local ref, and she tried out for the U.S. team and assistant coaches Loyola College. Unfortunately she didn't make the U.S. team...she is such an awesome defender!!
-By the way...is anyone else disappointed that there is only one Hopkins player that made the team? Did any more tryout?
Thanks!

Well no offense, but Hopkins isn't a huge powerhouse team yet. YET.

Also, a good thing to take note of is that many of the players on this year's team are older. JHU's women's team wasn't a powerhouse in the past, as far as I know. A lot of the girls are of UMD (5), UVA (4), Princeton (2) experience, the traditional programs.

Good point-no offense taken. I just thought that there might have been another player or two chosen from JHU.

sumsum - are you confusing the world team with the devo team? maryland has doolittle, kasper and pellizzi on the devo team (3). hopkins has key. duke has the most players (6).
Rumor has it regina oliver was not at tryouts. how did she make the team?

A little bit. I meant to use the World team as an example overall.

I watched them play at Leigh at the national tournament. It's so amazing seeing players who play at that level.

Except for when they tied the club all star team. They should have blown them out of the water.

Hopefully they'll step it up and show the world that the US is the best.
