Looking at the thread about the silly girls lax video, it reminded me of a memory i have about our season. i already described it in that thread so im not going to retype it all here. basically the purpose of this thread is to share some of your memories (and possibly give us all a good laugh) because thats what makes the season sometimes. try to keep your stories short and to the point (do not go off on tangents)- i dont want this thread to get closed. anyway i guess ill start off...
so were doing a drill, your basic free position shots around the eight. someone takes a shot at the goal and it nails our goalie straight in the crotch. the goalie made this face like it really hurt and then the girl who was next in line said "oooo straight to the babymaker!". everyone was rolling around on the ground and laughing so hard. i was crying and i couldnt breathe from all the laughing. it was in the first week of practice and was a great icebreaker for the team and it set the tone for the rest of the season.
This may not be funny to some, but i guess you had to be there and hear the comment in real life. Anyways, share some of your best memories/moments from the season!

The second practice of the season, we were trying to do a new drill, and some dumbass kid kept asking stupid questions, so our coach went half ****ed over to the cage where he proceeded to break his stick in half, and then throw it across the field. From there, he went to the restraining line and got on his knees and prayed "Why God, Why the hell did I do this to myself!" I thought this was hysterical

Well, there's the last memory of our season.
We're playing our rival school (this is middle school level) and we're expected to lose (by a lot). This was our last game, after a week of bad practices. So anyway, we jump out to an early 2-0 lead, all the while the other team is probably shocked. We continue our surprisingly great play to finish the first half with a 4-2 lead. Relaxed at half time, we feel good and just tell ourselves to keep playing well and get a more comfortable lead going.
Well, no surprise here, in the 2nd half the other team's defense kicks in and they end up tying it midway through the 3rd quarter. There was no scoring, no real offense generated through the rest of regulation time. We head into Sudden Death OT.
I'm not sure how much time passed in the period, but it definitely felt like a while. It was a constant battle between the two teams to gain momentum. None of us did, and several times players tried to make it happen (a great overtime game-winning goal) but it never did. It ended up being a middie who hadn't scored once until that pivotal game, who ended up scoring twice in the game, including rolling in the game winner.
The feeling and excitement of an overtime win is unbelievable. It really makes you wonder: what if I had been on the other team? I probably will never forget that moment. My view on sports and teamwork was really made clear right then.

this retard kid was gonna join the team. he didnt kno the difference btween a d pole and a middie/attack stick. he had no common sence and the coach new it. but we all felt bad so we tried to make him feel part of the team. but of course sum of the team made fun of him; it was funny but yea. it made us all feel greatful that we were able to play lacrosse...he left 3 days latr.

last home game of the season, my fellow attack goes to ride the goalie as I follow my defender upfield. As the goalie passes, he checks the goalies sticks (they're at X). The ball falls and rolls 5 feet away from me. I go scoop it up and I realize the ents wide open and I'm near the top of the box..so I shoot. I shot it and it was clearly going to go in..before it goes in I put my arms in the air. The attackman riding the goalie picked off my shot and put it in. I wasn't really mad because he was a senior and wanted to score on the last home game...but he shoulda let it go in.

winning the new york state section 9 championship after coming in second last year and watching our coach throw the second place plaque across the field...even though we lost to niskayuna in states by 16 it was a great year

Hah, if the senior would have missed. I would have walked over and pee'd in his mouth...and then kicked him while he was down.

ours is definitely beating our rival school 4-3 in the last game and since they r relatively new they played all their varsity starters almost (u know how it goes, change the jersey etc.) but it was great i was on the field for the last defensive stand.
