If theres anything else about the sport i love that i havent mentioned to any1 in the worl its that it also is pusshing to drive hard in school...some may think loser or that kids a nerd but in the end we all would love to end our life saying we tried hard in everything we did. And school seems to be slacking off sometimes but the point is most good D-1 lacrosse schools are also very highly academic colleges so if you have good grades it only helps. The point is Lacrosse is driving me in school also.

Does the fact of Lacrosse Schools being also Very Smart schools make you care any more about school??????

I love how you guys talk about pushing hard in school when your posts are suffering from grammatical and spelling errors. Whatever, that's cool. I rock at English naturally. 35/36 on the ACT on English, suckas! w00t w00t! Anyway, yeah, I try hard at school, kind of. Like, I do what it takes to get good grades, A's and A-'s, but I'm really a slacker at heart, and I'm kind of proud of that. I haven't studied for a math test as far back as I can remember, and I didn't get below a 99 on any math test during second semester. Peaked at 105. Yeah, school, it's totally worth the effort, honestly. I know lacrosse won't get me anywhere, but grades sure will. Gotta have them for BYU. But lacrosse is fun, ya know? Worth the effort too.

From an X college player, and now college coach... Wake up... All of you. 99% of you will never find a career in lacrosse, and even those of you that do, the MLL does not pay the bills.

You should find a school that you like, and know that you're going to spend atleast 4 years of your life there. Lacrosse is a bonus, not the reason to attend. I do like the guys that have included Michigan and BYU as their options; club lacrosse schools. You're going to have to find a job, start a business, and make it without lacrosse. I suggest you play as much as you can, remember to have fun (winning is fun), and find a school you'll enjoy. Good luck to you guys. Keep your grades up so you can go to schools that you want.

A.) I'm going to work at a Lacrosse store or have a Lacrosse styled sports bar.

B.) It still drives me. I know I'm probably not going to make it but if I don't try to take the sport I love as far as i can then what does that make me?

The single best piece of advice I ever recieved was, Work to live, don't live to work. I used to throw myself into my jobs, and couldn't help but think all about them when I got home, and on my days off, at parties, all the time. You have to find something you're passionate about, if its lacrosse, great, but keep in mind it won't pay the bills. I love coaching my college team, and I love my players. I am always looking for new careers, as long as they'll allow me to coach and pay more, because that's one of the big things that makes me happy, coaching. I have to have my free time. I enjoy coaching, and playing lacrosse, but I don't think running a sports bar would be similar enough to keep me happy.

I can't give each of you much personal advice, I don't know you, but find what makes you happy, and find a way to do it. I love to coach, but I have expensive tastes, and lacrosse doesn't pay the bills. I hope you guys can find a way to make things work for you in the future. Good luck guys.

Yeah, I'm a Mormon, living in Utah. I think if you search through threads, you might find it. But anyway, I don't know if I'll be good enough to play at BYU, because they could compete with pretty good DIII schools. But I'm going to try, but more important to me is my major, Industrial Design. It's a very wide field, and I could get into something like designing lacrosse equipment or I could be designing products for Apple. It's really something I'd love to do, and I could work for a huge amount of companies, designing whatever. That's what I'm excited about. It's a very difficult major, I know people taking it, but that's way more important to me than lacrosse. I just want to coach kids when I'm done with school.

dammit i hate ppl who say, omg ur never gonna make it, and put ppl down. even if its a 1ina million chance, theres still a chance rite? i think so, thats what drives me to get better. that means chance at scholarship for lacrosse, and then plus then if i get good grades, better colleges. works out good to me.
