hey guys, I'm new to the lacrosse forums and i need some help. I'm getting a torque soon and need a shaft for it. i was thinking about a db c-555 but i dont know much about it. if someone could please tell me some of the pros and cons of this shaft i would appreciate it and i am open to suggestions on different shafts too. Also i'd like to hear from someone who has this combo how this shaft would balance out the wieght. where is the cheapest for a torque including shipping? lacrosse digest?
Thanks for the help guys!

The shaft would probably make it shaft-heavy. I personally cannot STAND shaft-heavy sticks.
Besides that, i really don't know much about it. Never even seen one.

DB803 is going to be the most reccommended shaft. I have 2 sticks with a Torque/DB803 setup and I couldn't be happier.

i considered the db803 but after hearing about them denting i looked at the c-555 because the texlax comparison chart said they wieght the same

I have a db C-555 and its awsome. Its super light and feels great in your hands. I havent played much with it so i cant say much on durability but so far it doesnt even have a dent. It would bee a good choice, but the 803 might be lighter by a little.

The texlax chart is moot. Don't go by those weights. Totally off.

go with a klyte cant go wrong there great shafts and most places a long pole is like 20 $ more just get that and cut it in 2. strong light and dependable! mine has 1 small dent from another cut in half klyte.(its a beast)

The ignite optra, because it is C55, not C405, will tend to be lighter, as well as stronger. Either way, youre getting a light shaft.

dude, I also have a torque/803 combo. It's a dream stick. The 803 isnt the strongest shaft but its still well worth it. I really like the shaft and its not too badly priced. If you dont get that then get a kpro.

optra is the best bet because the 803 dents like mad

thanks man. by the way how different(or harder) is it to string a to torque than othe heads.I can string a mad mesh pocket

Torque is probably one of the easiest heads to string. Count how many sidewall holes it has.

i'm using a nitrous right now and that has lots of sidewall holes also so it should be no problem

i have a thread on this and am debating this as well...thanx for bringing it up. to mention, i have the ignite optra and love it, hasn't dented yet for me just scratches. i love it but am considering the 803 since i heard it was lighter, and i'm trying to debate if it's stronger.
