Hey these all seem like similar shafts, i have a torque on an ignite optra right now but i hear that the torque on a 803 is even nicer, and then the kpro...just wondering if anyone knows which one is lightest, strongest, just an idea of which is the best and y.

they are all differnet actually...klyte is c405 alloy, the optra is c555 alloy, and the 803 is umm well not those

laxfan251 i'm sry if ur thinking this is a "what should i get" thread but i'm asking for diffs.
and thanx ny lax. what is the signifigance of those alloys, is one proven stronger? does anyone know the strength of them? if the db803 is as strong as the ignite optra i'm sold on it.

C555 is "better" th C405. Their isn't much difference but C555 is suppose to be lighter and stronger. To make more sense, Klyte is C405, and Kpro is C555. Db803, is ligter then the two (i believe) and a preety good shaft. I have a Klyte and its good, but from what I have heard Db803 is better.

sry btw i did mean to say kyrpto pro so that should even it a bit, thanx giantredlobster.
does anyone know y db803 is supposed to be better? it sounds like the ignite optra and kpro r very similar.

i would say that the db803 is stronger then a ignite, the kpro and db803 are about the same weight wise, but the kpro is prob stronger, but not 30$ stronger.

TitanLax

so ur saying the 803 is stronger and lighter than an Ignite Optra?

I'll agree and say the DB803 is well known for being the best all around shaft.

edit - Buuuuuuuuut, you must know there is no best shaft, I was saying that based on others.

TitanLax

ya there is definitely no best shaft, and i know that the 803 is not "the strongest shaft". but, if it's stronger than the ignite optra i have now and weighs less, as ppl say, than that's fine. i sacrifice some strength for lighweight.

Kylte.

Strongest of the three, I believe.

Klyte wasn't on the list, if you read the posts. He meant Kpro.
Kpro is stronger and slightly heavier than 803, and more expensive. dB803 is very nice, but I wouldn't buy it if you have a perfectly good Optra, because that's equally nice.

to clarify xv88 my stick was stolen, i am getting another one and i am putting a torque on ____ shaft. my question is i am getting another shaft, not one to replace my optra, but another to be my other stick

You guys all talk about how this is stronger and that is lighter, no doubt these are the two most important elemants, but I find the grip important to for instance I hate powergrips but I like the Brine classic grip and the kung-fu grip, once you get over 100 psi your shaft shouldn't break and still 90-100 only dents a little. It's those alloy 2000's and platnums that break. I said in another answer that I thought the klyte was better but I meant kpro.

lol we both made the same mistake speaking laxwizard about the klyte/kpro
r u suggesting that the grip on db803 isn't that good?
arg i can't get a solid answer on which msot ppl think is stronger.

wow, another thread where idiots have the total wrong idea about these sticks..

If you ever knew, the Gait db803 is.. 60 dollars! Did you know that?
If you did, do you know why it is only 60? Because it uses less material and weaker material! OF course!!!!
Idiot.. db803 is light, but, its weak. The liquidmetal is as light as the db803, except its stronger than titanium. Dont get me wrong, it will split right in half top to bottom if hit correctly and hard.
Oh and ignite optra is the same material as the kpro, except less material, so lighter, but weaker. Slightly. Ignite optra = 80$ Kpro = 89.99$

my point = Get this through your head, db803 is only light, not strong. And its definitely not stronger than an Ignite Optra.

my second point = if your good, then you will be good no matter what stick you use.
If you suck, you will suck no matter what stick you use.
Im mean perhaps, but thats reality, to you people who suck like shyt but want to "improve" by getting a better stick. How about this.. get on a wall, run every night, work out.

well then phslax what do you suggest to him. he asked which one you suggest; he didn't ask you to come in and act like a jerk and tell everyone stuff they already knew.if your not going to answer his question correctly than don't say anything. :hot:

P.S the ignite optra is only $65 at lacrosse digest and the kpro is only $80, "idiot".why dont you look around before come on and call him an idiot.

ok. I suggest a krypto PRO. And my prices were pure factory original prices, not discounted. So you also need to look around.

06-27-2005, 03:13 PM
wow you serious Krypto pro is definetly better then the db803, or opra. I though u said klyte that would be more on a par with db803. But if you have the extra buck go for the krypto pro!

I know the kpro is stronger than the db803, but the db803 is definately ligher. Plus you won't have to cross-brand the db803 with the torque, so you can keep the stick in the same brand. Plus the db803 and torque is the 2nd lightest stick supposedly since the arrow is supposed to be .5 oz. lighter which is amazing.

I have the same stick you have, torque on a ignite optra i like maby you should stick with it.

i have a cyber on a db803 and a nitrous on a klyte. Db803 is magical b/c of the lightness, can do a lil more with it.
