I personally say no. But i guess they can if you get a rough edge. I wpould just sand it down so it still has a good grip but doesnt rip.

They really don't rip up your gloves at all. I have a shorty and a pole (even though the it bent last summer). They do exceptionally well when wet. They get an almost sticky feel to them, but the edges are rounded so the stickiness doesen't really impede on anything.

i have one. It doesn't rip my gloves and I don't really spin all that much, but it's not any harder than any other shaft. The sandpaper feel rubs off after a while anyways.

the sharkskin doesnt rib your palms its just like any other fake grip basically and it comes off after awhile

Actually, two kids on my team have had a sharkskin Ti start to wear the palms down a lot, almost to the point where the palms ripped, but not quite. The best solution is probably just to sand it down so you get the best of both worlds.

Its rougher. The diamond has more of like a finished feel and the sharkskin actually does feel like sandpaper when new

i think that the sharkskin is also cheaper than the traditional stx titanium

I've found tape rips up gloves much worse than sharkskin ever could. The sharkskin gets kinda tacky (literal) whereas tape gets kinda rough on soft sweaty glove palms.
