Liquidmetal is a trademarked alloy. WHat it is exactly (as in what elements are in it) I couldn't tell you. Liquidmetal is very light and has a lot of elasticity. The alloy itself is probably 2-3 times as strong as titanium as the Gait website says. The shaft however is two pieces that are welded together so it does often break in the center. IT is lighter than the STX Ti and the Diamond. Definately not as strong as the STX Ti but is overall stronger than the Diamond. As to what you should buy, it is a tradeoff of weight to strength.

its has like 300,000 psi resistance and 5.6 ounces better than any TI out there and prolly harrow as well. but it costs a pant load........i stil want it

the thing is, its a db803 with the liquidmetal coating. if the whole shaft was made out of the liquidmetal stuff, then it would be 2-3 times stronger than ti.

If the WHOLE thing was made of it..... it would be way too much money....

And that would be awesome to see.......

so the enitre shaft isnt made out of liquid metal? its basically a db803 with a coating.

Yes. It's basically an 803 with a sand paper type of feeling and yet seems to be weaker than the 803. They are both the same shape, too.

its two halfs of a db803 welded together with a rough surface and liquidmetal coating...the gaits used a clever marketing scam that made us think that it is 2-3 stronger then titanium...liquidmetal alloy is but realisticly it is a db803 so obviously its not.......we have heard on this forums of way too many of these things braking from poke checks from aluminum shafts and lax balls that rickashaded off a post... i would never use this thing....it is light though
