what is actually considered a dive? in my indoor game, i did 2 of them, from behind the goal, the first one that i did, went in and i got no call but i did land back on my feet, but i think i did the same on the other one, but they didn't count the goal. i'm confused.

Dunno about the indoor game but outdoors you can't cross over the crease whatsoever, you can dive just outside the crease but if you go in then it's a dive and the goal is disallowed.

i think it is legal to cross through the crease as long as you dont land in it, but the only time it is legal is if you are pushed in by your defensemen

it is not legal to "jump over the crease" you can however go into the crease if you shoot.... the ball goes in then your momentum carries you in... and yes dives are legal outside the creadse but thats not really a dive....

you're allowed to go into the crease if a defender pushes you in. Wish the ref would have called it a push on one of our diving goals.

in my indoor league u can dive but u have to go sideways not straight at the goalie. it used to be so you can dive in any direction but to many goalies got hurt

The refs in poppinseed and my leauge suck they make the most one sided calls, they dont let ne thing go.

yea that is true, the ref's and coaches are asses, oh well though, i'm just wondering, cause i got called for "diving" in my varsity game, and i didn't get the call when i did it in the jv game, it confused me.

I believe that the rule in box is that you can dive through the crease and the goal will count if the ball goes in before you hit the ground.

the rule is that the crease is now considered a 3d object and you can't cross into it whatsoever, even if you land outside. the only exception is if a dman pushes you into it.

In NLL you're allowed to dive into the crease. In most other leagues, you're not.
