That goalie just got mad cause the whole crowd was like ooooo and he got completly trashed but other than that, the whole 10 guys vs 1 is kinda unessisary....it looks like the first d pole that went back there tried to break it up tho

fights on the field are dumb...whenever that starts to happen i just laugh at the other guy. usually people get called for it when i've been in that situation.

I can provide some links that give more information about the game at which the fight occurred, as well as the aftermath. The two high schools involved are in Fairfax County, Virginia, which is some fifteen miles southwest of Washington, DC.

Ten Robinson boys' lacrosse players were suspended from one to four games yesterday for their roles in a fight that caused a premature end to the Rams' 9-5 home loss to Lake Braddock on Tuesday night, Robinson Athletic Director Mike McGurk said.

The incident occurred with a little more than five minutes to play and Lake Braddock on its way to its first win over Robinson in 15 years. According to Lake Braddock Coach Steve Price, who reviewed a tape of the game with his assistants and Athletic Director Mark Martino, it began after a Lake Braddock attackman checked the Robinson goalkeeper's stick. Because the goalie was in the crease, the Lake Braddock player's check was ruled illegal. But, Price said, just as a referee called the infraction, Robinson's goalie tackled the Lake Braddock player, and a fight ensued.

According to Price, other Robinson players joined the fight, some ran onto the field, and at one point, "There were eight or nine Robinson players on top of" the Lake Braddock attackman. No Lake Braddock players left the team's bench or joined the melee, he said.

Fight in Boys' Game Led To Scrutiny of Program

Robinson boys' lacrosse coach Dave Baggetta resigned Thursday, Athletic Director Mike McGurk said, one day after his team had 10 players suspended in the wake of a fight during a loss against Lake Braddock on Tuesday night.

The resignation came after McGurk and Robinson principal Dan Meier met repeatedly with Baggetta. McGurk said the fight was "the tip of the iceberg as far as some other issues that we addressed with Dave."

Meier said the fight "was something that prompted us to really sit down and look at the lacrosse program more closely."

Baggetta was in his first season at Robinson after spending four years as head coach at Herndon. He was named by his colleagues last season as Northern Region Coach of the Year. At Robinson, he replaced longtime coach Tom Tufts, who led the Rams to three unofficial Virginia titles (in 1998, 2001 and 2002) before retiring after last season.

yeah the 10 on 1 was ridiculous i saw at least three separate guys swingin at the purple guy at once, but you do have to say somethin for team bonding..... one was in a fight they all got in a fight

That fight was pretty rad, though it is ridiculous how the whole team had to jump in... seriously, just let the two guys sort it out, after all it will be their balls in the vice, not the WHOLE program...

nah those 2 schools are in my district, the coach of robinson the bagettas, the assistant michael bagetta is a real tool, he was amazing at faceoffs but dropped out of Umass in less than a year casue noone liked him. Hes a real asswhole but anyway when the fight started Michael sent his players on the field and charged wiht them. and the school told his uncle the head coach if he wanted to keep his job he had to fire michael and he refused so they were both fired. But it started becasue Robinson hasnt lost to LB in 10years and they were gettin angry from loosing and then the goali went nuts.

the only reason the other guys got into it is because the purple guy slammed the white goalie down and got on top of him..

it was a good check, the goalie flipped out, then the purple dude slammed his a@$ on the ground for being a p2$$y.

AND I would guess the purple guys didn't want to get into it because they are obviously more disciplined.. They probably knew that they would be suspended, but given that the purple guy was outmanned for some time with no help from the refs, someone shoulda at least gone in to get those guys off him..

Oh yeah.. lax fights are dumb.. you can't really get hurt.. all your equipment gets in the way..

Sometimes dumb and pointless, but you've now got enough Senior B experience to know that the box heavyweights do it right!

You can see the coach telling the purple players to not move when 2 guys were about to run into it, they would have gotten in big trouble... a lot of running....
