I've read that the impulse decreases shot speed... with my old stick which was really heavy, i could get off a shot at the low 50's on average. What is it that makes the impulse's shot slower? And can i get it higher?

it really does...an apex with a trakker pro pocket has a higher shot speed..could be the wider head/scoop having an adverse effect on the pocket...flattening it somewhat? lol, not the most technical answer...perhaps a different pocket may help.

cool..i replaced the trakker pro with the stylin strings pocket..it's much softer...i like it much better...you know, if I have chance i'll speed gun the new pocket.

I don't really think it does, I mean I just switched to Impulse and I love it, but I'm a coverpoint, so maybe I just wouldn't notice

If it did, it would be because it is more offset.

I've been throwin and its nice. Really accurate and the passes are crisp. I dont find it much different, and it may even be better... dare i say it...

I agree, at least better than the crap one I had before. Most people I talk to seem to love Impulse!

Same! I think it is my favorite stick. Don't get me wrong-the apex improved my game SO much, and the tempest was/is great, and I still use it lots, but the impulse just seems so reliable, and it makes me feel more confident with my playing. Also-it is a great all around stick. I see impulses at defense, midfield, and attack. Although they are most common at attack, and midfield, and scarcer at defense. I don't know about you, but I RARELY see someone use a tempest on defense....I'm not sure why. I tend to see apex's A LOT on defense.
