First dye job

I put in my own version of the Mesh-X pocket because I only had 2 leathers. Sorry about the picture quality, I took them with my phone. This is the first stick I've died. It's pretty basic, but I did it before looking at other dye jobs for ideas. The next one I do will probably look alittle nicer.

yeh...i can make out some design on the scoop and inner sidewalls...i agree bigger pics please...

after finding my trusty magnifine glass i think your coils from what i can tell are too loose. You need to reduce the number of wraps on each one. I bet when you cradle and spin the stick the ball hits the sidewall but that's my guess. Also, attach the coils to the same row of diamonds. Cut the mesh so it alternates 3-2-3-2... diamonds of if you want it wider 4-3-4-3... that way you attach the coil to the wider of the two rows of diamonds.

Where are you from dude? I just strung a stick exactly like that with a similair dye for a kid in Dryden Mass.

haha I'm from Illinois, didn't steal your idea though..I guess there are to many wraps in the coils, but I used sidewall string for them, so they aren't really too loose. The coils are attatched to the same row, but I don't think I cut the mesh the right way(4-3-4-3.) The only problem is that I didnt do the black dark enough, pinched the head after the dye, and it faded to a purple. It's not too noticeable unless you compare it to another black stick.

I'll try and post some pics later using a real camera
