I know there's a store called Play It Again Sports... but maybe that's just out here in IL. If so, I would say your best bet is probobly D i c k's Sporting Goods (they have a website, http://www.d i c kssportinggoods.com") You can get them for as cheep as $30 for middie and goalie as cheep as $50. (I dunno about defense, or if you just request a longer shaft to be honest, girls sticks are all the same length) That's the cheepest place I know of, and I think there are some decent sticks for pretty cheep. Hope this helps!

PS, there aren't any spaces between the letters in d i c k s, but the site wouldn't let me write it out because... it thought I was refering to something else.

US lacrosse has a grant program to equip teams in their first year. The page that covers applications is here:

Hope that helps. Good luck with your team!

hi my name is tim haley and i live in corvallis oregon.

I've been to Corvallis. It rains a fair amount in the winter there. Oh, you knew that.

There's a school there called Oregon State University. Lacrosse is not a varsity sport at OSU, (http://oregonstate.edu/athletics/) but look at this: lacrosse is a club sport at OSU. (http://recsports.org/orst/programs/sc/index.htm) Myself, I'd be talking to those players to see if they could be coaxed into selling off or giving away some old sticks they no longer needed. Here's the contact info: (http://recsports.org/orst/programs/sc/sport1b.htm)

Men’s Lacrosse Club:

Contact: Chris Gregg
E-mail: Lacrosse_middie9@hotmail.com

Women’s Lacrosse Club:
oregonstate.edu/groups/lacrosse/index.htm
Contact: Candace Zepp
E-mail: say_hey_kid@hotmail.com <--- may not work

Some of the links are outdated. The Oregon Lacrosse website (http://www.oregonlax.com/mcg/) says that the new link for men's lacrosse at OSU is . I'll bet people at Ohio State are kicking themselves for not signing up for that first. A better email address for women's lacrosse may be <ostatelacrosse@yahoo.com>.

There's lots of info at the new link for men's lacrosse. It's worth a visit.

When you look at the team roster, you see that of all the high schools attended by players on the team that are mentioned, none is east of the Cascades. Beaverton is the mode home town.

Hmm. There will be a camp there next week too.

Yea, I'd say that's probobly your best bet, although contacting people about buying old equipment is a good idea, Play It Again and other plays like it sell sticks for cheap and some of them are, like BRAND NEW. Plus, I don't know about the guys over at OSU, but when I retire a stick, it's seen better days. I got a really good deal on some guys sticks a while back (don't even ask why I have them, that's a long story), and they hadn't been used! (If they had, it sure doesn't seem like it).

You may want to try buying things in bulk. Certain companies give discounts if you place a large order

Contact Harrow. They can make a team shaft for you, and give you an insanely good deal, in my opinion, the best shaft on the market

Hey, Tim - CHS or CVHS? Are you a student or parent? I'm a former Raider, but may be willing to help a Spartan out. I live in Beaverton, am a parent (okay, I'm a mom - but I love lacrosse and have LOTS of contacts). Send me a p-e-mail, let me know what you need, who's coaching, etc. I know some OSU players (the Oregon kind - not the Ohio) who may be willing to do some coaching. I can also hook you up with some competition when you're ready. Good luck!!

This is the best advice...also what I was going to suggest...
Even if they cant give you all of what you need, theyll get you in contact with others...
Good luck

if that doesnt work, try going to ****s sporting goods and bringing in something that has a lower price than them (****s can be expensive and they price match) and then see if u cant buy in bulk like alloy 2000s and just basic gear...n then if people want to upgrade their stuff they can...also a good way for u to make money stringing for every1 on ur team

Tim, shoot me a message, I have lax equipment coming out my ears. I coach up here at Putnam but my boys go to Santiam Christian and would love to see a program in the Corvallis area.
