The new STX Stingray...any thoughts?
I have seen it a lot at tournaments and at Sports Her Way.
I think this stick is a little farfetched, but cannot say for sure because although I have seen it many times, I have not actually tried it out. What do you think? Has anyone actually tried it out? Does anyone own it?

yeah i tried it at cup of nations this week. it is weird and i never thought 'd see a stick like it. the lady said id didnt affect your sidearm but i have a feeling that is extremely untrue. and my sidearm is very important to me.
but after all of that said, i would NEVER buy a head from anyone besides debeer, so im def not getting this one.

I think the idea is cool, but not to play with. I could never imagine myself playing with a stick that shape, but i haven't played with it so i don't know.

hey , i have the stingray, its a nice head, but the pocket isnt all that great so i m restrining it

I tried the Stingray out at Cup of Nations a little too. I like the side things...it kept the ball in the pocket when I was doing funky fakes and cradling, but I didn't really get a feel for it otherwise. If your like Jen Adams and fake your way around the goalie to no tomorrow this would be a nice head for you. The pocket seemed nice and soft to me too.

I noticed the softness of the pocket too when I checked it out at Sports Her Way. Does it have the same pocket as the STX Surge?

The soft pocket is STX's new pocket, the Precision Pocket.
At most places, you can order the Surge with the traditional pocket or the Precision Pocket.
For those who have tried the Precision Pocket, how does it compare with the traditional and/or the trakker pro?

If it's the same STX pocket that comes with Surge's at Sports Her Way, it's catch has a lot of give, and gives you a great pocket. However, I feel the shot is stronger with the trakker pro pocket. (My surge came with an STX pocket from Sports Her Way, and then I restrung it with the trakker pro.)
