Hey all,
Ok..one of my friends plays lacrosse, and I read about it a bit....and it does seem pretty interesting. I haven't played really much of any sports though (except mountain biking..is that considered a sport? :)) so I am honestly a little scared to start hah..
I figure if I can practice catching the ball, passing it and all that type of stuff I can probably join a team (our high school has one..) and be ok?
I really don't know what the point of this post is .. maybe just for you guys to convince me to get into the sport :D

Very true man! I started playing lax (not in any form I would boast about though) a few months ago, and when chicks see you with that stick in your hand, they seem to undergo a magical transformation. All of a sudden, they become incredibly sexually attrated to you, in a way that they can't resist.
But I would like to point out that while playing this game is incredibly fun, it is equally exciting to watch as a fan. So far, this is the first sport that can match that category. I am an avid baseball fan (to the point that it sickens people), and in all the baseball games I've ever been to (including every college, hs, and professional game....including this year's Kevin Millwood no-hitter) has ever matched the excitement level of my first Philadelphia Wings game. I've been a season ticket holder for the Wings ever since 1998, and I will NEVER give up my season tix for anything! ANYTHING!!! I love this sport, and I highly suggest that if you are indeed a young man who has interest in persuing a growing sport with a high level of excitement.....you had best go for it!:agree
Play Lax my friend ! When you start...pick up a short stick and play both left and right.
Be an Attackman...............The hat trick of lacrosse awaits you. The 3 G's !!
Good luck !

Its a joke! Come on, you can't possibly believe that I truely think that? In reality, girls do think you are a bit more "exciting" (I put that in quotations to insinuate that it shouldn't be taken too out of line). I have yet to find that girl who walks up to me while I'm holding my D-pole, begging me for favors....of course of it ever does happen...I'll let you know.
Again I say, sarcasm doesn't travel well over a message board.:laugh
Look...I'm an angel!!!---->:angel :tongue :smokin

i am a mountian biker too...if you downhill you will love lacrosse cuz chances are you LOVE SPEED just like me...also you love the thrill of challening yourself lacrosse is definitly a challining sport and just like mtn bykin you are always secretly hoping (or at least i do) that you will "accidently" crash and you will see how tough you are...now match that against other boys...play the sport, love the sport, live the sport

sarcasm is always followed with a couple of hahaha's or lol's. but yea, we do see a guy as more "exciting" when they're carrying around a stick, or.... after a game when they take off their helmet, and their hair's drenched in sweat... somehow at that moment, it is like a sudden attraction. i don't know why though, so i guess in some way you could say we're "magically transformed" for a second.

Go to a store like Galyan's, Dicks, Lax Unlimited and personally try out the sticks there. Put a ball in it, and cradle it a little. Whatever stick works best for you, buy it.

I have to admit that I am attracted to lacrosse players...quite attracted. It has something to do with the physicality of the game and the fact that I just love that shaggy hair cut. Also it just makes it easier when the person your with plays the same sport.

Hey!
I went out to Sports Authority, I thought I had gotten this stick: http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1194311&cp=711658.694169&fCat=694169&fpricesort=priceDescending&filter=yes&fbrandid=642&parentPage=family but after closer inspection, I found it was actually this stick: http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1194312&cp=711658.694169&fCat=694169&fpricesort=priceDescending&filter=yes&fbrandid=642&parentPage=family (same shaft..just a different head)
It was kind of hard to tell and took me a while to figure out what one I had - because they had the wrong price tag on and even if it was the cheaper $44.99 one I only got it for like $29 .. hehe :) Anyway, I went outside and had somebody throw the ball at me and I got pretty good at catching it with my right hand..just have to work on my left then too - and tomorrow my friends coming over to practice with me hopefully..if not, definitely friday ..cant wait
anyway thanks for all your comments, lol .. im glad i bought that stick !!

I didnt, and when i posted it it was on the top, cuse did.
Edit:In my opinion, its fine to bring back interesing threads. Its just what type they are. If you search for somthing like "Lacrosse Video Game"(lots of threads about that) Its okay to ask a question about that .I would rather that than repeating the threas
